After a hair-raising songtheaw taxi ride to catch the 1600hr speedboat to Koh Mak (long story that starts with bus being late!), we finally arrived on Koh Mak and found Paul waiting to transport us to Big Easy and our beachfront villa. I'd changed our initial booking from 4 to 6 nights and after several weeks of hectic travel around...

You can not beat the beach, food, service and experience. We loved our honeymoon here. It was really relaxing and no hustling on the beach. It is a smaller island and has all the benefits of peace and quite. We will be back to celebrate our life.

Sandy, clean beach where at low tide you can walk across a rocky path to a small Island. Superb food cooked by the lovely Thai co-owner when we visited in low season. Large elevated bungalow style houses completed a really excellent experience on this still little - known Island destination.

Big Easy's location is just perfect. Last hotel on a beautiful and quiet beach. The bungalows are very clean and spacious with comfortable beds (a little hard as they tend to be in Thailand). Wifi and AC works all day and you have a toilet inside with warm water. Food at the restaurant is good but pretty basic. Price is...

I've stayed at 'Big Easy' for one week in January 2016 - a small (7 bungalows) family run resort with a personal touch. Five bungalows are on one side - two on the other. No 1 and 2 (partly) are directly at the beach - the others are very close to the beach (maximum of 4 minutes walking distance). The...

A wonderful location at the end of a beautiful beach. The bungalows are large, air con, large bed and bathroom situatec meters from the beach. We received a warm welcome from Paul and the lovely Del who made our stay so enjoyable. I cant wait to go back but will be 2017. Paul can I have bungalow 1?

Stay: One week, end of august. Contact: Very friendly and helpfull, perfect english, no wonder, as Paul the owner originates from London. Transport: complimentary pick up by the owners at the ferry-station. Location: the Big Easy lies at the end of the single road of Koh Mak and is situated directly at the beach, with a marvelous view over the...

We found this place at the end of our stay on Koh Mak, and wish we'd found it sooner. They get the basics right, lovely clean restaurant, smiling and welcoming staff, excellent service. Once we'd ate lunch we knew we had to come back that evening for dinner. All the staff are really friendly, their English is excellent, (the owners...

Stayed here for 4 nights in November 2015. The location, the bungalows and the owners are lovely, and the resort is located at the end of the beach which means it's kind of isolated. The food is cheap and tastes really good and if you against all odds get tired of the restaurant you can find others along the beach....
