Ok, so you're on a budget and want to go to Koh Mak and be near the beach? This is probably your best bet. However, I just couldn't handle the mattresses. These seem to be designed by Satan and the busted springs will make sure you will not get a very good night's sleep. Also, we stayed in two different... More

The bungalows are located in a nice flowery garden, full of butterflies, heading a sea. Prices vary depending in which row of huts you live. But they are all just so close to beach, that I think there is no need to pay more for the first row. The beach is nice, quite peaceful, however there is a pier on... More

Not when you're living in a box....a very small, quite expensive 650bht wooden box. Only things inside the box was a matress on the floor, a bare lightbulb and a mozzie net that had seen better days (to be fair this was replaced after 3 days) Water not provided. We did have a bathroom of sorts and a deck area... More

The owner was extreeemely nice and helpful. Food was pretty delicious as well! The beach was nice and calm and kept clean by some dude, way better than the other side of the island where it was dirty and waves were strong. We got a free meal one night because it was one of the hotel owner's birthday which was... More

Very good and cheap accommodation Suchanaree Bungalows. Bungalows but are very moderate and without air conditioning. On the earth are mattresses, but the bungalow is very clean. The owner is nice and friendly. I spent 6 nights here and I was very satisfied. Suchanaree is the most beautiful beach on the island of Koh Mak, there is still a paradise... More

My partner and I stayed at the Suchanaree beach huts in November 2008. We were looked for a relaxed place right on the beach and we weren't dissappointed. It's a small simple family run operation. The huts themselves have no frills but they are clean and have a attached bathroom. The main attraction of Suchanaree is the beautiful location. It's... More
