Great place! Very nice and quaint place! The staff is super friendly and helpful. The resort and rooms are very nice and clean. Rooms have nice little bathrooms and hot showers. Beds are big and super comfy! Great pool and great lounge with good food/complimentary breakfast! Great place to stay highly recommend it!

Really enjoyed the stay. Didn't feel like I was staying at a resort, more like visiting friends. Very friendly vibes at the place. Jake, who is the manager, was very helpful and was great company. Mexican restaurant has delicious food and the rooms, whilst quite basic, are comfortable. The resort itself is very pleasing on the eye. For sure would...

Stayed three nights and loved every second. The accommodation is basic but clean, air conditioned with comfy beds and warm showers. Staying in a bamboo bungalow is a bit of a novelty too! But the best parts were the good and the service. After two weeks travelling around Thailand the first class Mexican food was just what we needed (especially...

As I'm writing this from back home, I wish I were there again! Koh Mak is awesome, so pretty and untouched. The owner, Jake, is very helpful and will set you up with anything you need right away. The lodgings are rustic, and you instantly feel unplugged. Will return!!

We had a wonderful time at Bamboo Hideaway last week and we miss it already. We can't speak highly enough of the staff. They arranged everything we wanted right away - scooters, massages, tours, you name it, which made going "off the grid" in Ko Mak very convenient. A wonderful place to recharge.

It was a great way to start: the owner, Jake, met me at the pier and offered to take my luggage. When, less than ten minutes later, I walked into the relaxed, friendly and  welcoming resort, I knew that I would extend my stay. In the end I doubled it to ten nights. The rooms are as photographed and described:...

This is a real place for relaxation and you live in authentic bomboo huts that are quite equal to the ones you find in the 'real' jungle - just with more facilities. In the night you can listen to the sounds of the rain forrest. The manager Jake is very helpful in all aspects. We had forgotten a purse with...

Bamboo Hideaway may not be a five star resort however this was more than made up for by the service received from Jake and his crew, nothing was too much trouble. Comfortable rooms, great meals and an ambience second to none on the island. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and will back next time on Ko Mak.

We just stayed at Bamboo Hideaway for 7 nights and had a wonderful time with our family of 5. We have to admit, the first five minutes we were a little dissapointed when Jake gave us the tour and told us that the beach was a 10 minutes walk (which in reality is just 5 min or so). But after...

Bamboo Hideaway is a small intimate resort on this beautiful island. Just a small handful of well constructed bungalows in a delightfully relaxed boutique resort setting and atmosphere. Jake and his team make you feel very welcome and more like a member of an extended family or his friends rather than paying guests. Swimming pool is great with fantastic views...

Air conditioning, hot water and private bathroom. It comes with towels, slippers and fresh water every day.
