As long as you're not looking for a breakfast buffet(!) then this place is just wonderful. Katie, Martin and Smith take care of you during your stay and can arrange further travel arrangements or a scooter hire or days trips (like snorkelling) or arranging thai massages..nothing is too much trouble. The thai food Katie cooks is among the very best...

The owner couple kathy and martin are throughly engaged. They make you feel welcome and will help you with tips where to go and where to eat on the island. The resort is just the right size with a nice pool and an easygoing bar. The lovingly crafted bamboo hut are in tone with the interior. All simple, crisp and...

I went to bamboo hideaway twice and I love it. It makes me feel like I escape from crowded and busy city. Its the best resort for the people who want to take rest from work. Its surrounded by forest, its like you can feel the earth, its make you feel like you are part of nature. The owners are...

Thanks for the review, Juice. We were very busy over new year, and apologise if we didn't looked after you as much as we should've. But hope to see you here again for the third time!

Me and my girlfriend stayed nine nights at Bamboo Hideaway during christmas time and had the best holiday ever. The huts are great but what makes this place so special is the service. Martin & Kathy are maybe the friendliest people I've met and they really take care of you. I hope Bamboo Hideaway maintains the great atmosphere for years...

We were recommended Bamboo by good friends who loved it and thus had great expectations for the two nights we had reserved. However we were a bit dissatisfied. For sure, it is great with transportation to the beach. The huts are charming - the design enables you to hear the sounds of nature. Unfortunately this accounts also for sounds from...

Thank you for your constructive criticism. We will take on board what you have said. In fairness, I do feel that your expectation of a buffet breakfeast would be more suited to a larger hotel. We have eight bungalows which does not allow us to offer a buffet type breakfast. The cornflakes were also part of the ABF breakfast. If...

We felt very lucky to have found this resort as it more than met all our requirements for the 6 days we spent there. Martin and Katie and Smithy provide a wonderfully warm and personal welcome volunteering lots of useful practical information on arrival. The 8 bamboo huts have all been designed and built by Martin and they offer privacy,...

We stayed at Bamboo during Christmas and had a fantastic time. The accommodation was not luxury, but very cosy. The bungalows was according to our expectations, and the design of them created a very genuine atmosphere. We spent most of our time in the pool area playing games, sunbathing, bathing and just relaxing. For this, Bamboo was perfect. We had...

Ko Mak is a small island that you can ride round in a day on a rented moped, at least once. And because the development is very low-key the liklihood of meeting the same locals and tourists more than once is high; giving a village feel of warmth and friendship. This open friendliness is also a major characteristic at Bamboo...

Martin and Kathy are realy concerned about their guests! We only can recommend this Bamboo Hide away at Kho Mak. Martin could be one of the best hotel managers all around but he prefers to stay at Bamboo Hideaway. Take the chance and visit them there as long as they manage this resort and mix these sensational drinks...

Located on the beautiful island of Koh Mak, Bamboo Hideaway Resort is a small boutique style resort built in an aging rubber tree plantation using natural materials. We here at Bamboo Hideaway have tried to capture a feeling of peace and tranquility. Eight bungalows, elevated and accessible by a walkway from the restaurant, weave its way through the trees to accommodation that have been designed to give you all the luxuries of a more traditional resort but with the advantage that only natural materials can give.Large and spacious, the bungalow has a double bed with possibility of extra bed. Air conditioning, hot water and private bathroom. It comes with towels, slippers and fresh water every day.
