Centrally located.
Room clean - disappointed many hotels etc., including this one are holding on to the COVID excuse of not making the bed at all or providing fresh towels, unless you ask.
The showerhead is antiquated - needs changing.
The front desk staff, especially in the evening was terrific and very professional, friendly and helpful

We chose Village Inn as we wanted to be away from the other big brand hotels and crowds in Peterborough. The parking was free and secure behind the building. We chose a room on the parking lot side which was much quieter than the busy street side. The beds were comfortable and the room had all the standard hotel amenities. The breakfast was nothing to write home about - muffins in plastic wrap, fruit cups and yoghurt, but we were there to sleep and was not there to eat the food anyways. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby to have a good breakfast.

Well located small, boutique, family run hotel in the centre of town. Room was very clean. Hotel updated during the recent covid slowdowns. Our room on the ground floor had a front porch on the sidewalk. Would be wonderful in the summer. Walking distance to shops, restaurants (especially the Loon at the north end of town), groceries (there are a few plates and bowls etc in the room), beer and wine, and the river bank. Only a very limited continental breakfast but there are breakfast restaurants in town of you need something more. Tons of parking out back. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Everything was great with the exception of the skimpy breakfast counter. Good parking, clean room and great location. We were on our way to Brockville after visiting friends in Buckhorn so we were very pleased to find this accommodation so close to Buckhorn.

A lovely Inn with charming rooms. Me and my sister needed an escape from the city, so we decided to drive to Lakefield in the Kawarthas. The front desk staff were very courteous and quick with our check-in. Our room was quite spacious, and had really beautiful decor. There was continental breakfast in the morning, lots of coffee, and a quick & easy check-out. Lakefield is a very small town, but there were some cute shops to explore, and also a provincial park a short drive away. I would definitely love to come back here.

Just happy to get away. It was a road trip and we visited surrounding towns like Bobcaygeon and Lindsay but always came back to Lakefield for meals. Hotel was comfortable, clean and parking was safe. Friendly staff that always ensured we were enjoying our stay and visit to Lakefield.

My brother and I were up in Lakefield visiting a friend. We wanted a centrally located, clean hotel. The Village Inn fit the bill. It is located right in the middle of town and an easy walk to restaurants and the canal. Staff was friendly, room was very clean. Decor is certainly not hipster but fine. I'd call it homey. Hotel was very quiet but we were there off -season. We liked it and will be back.

A note: the restaurant in the hotel is closed so we ate at other spots in town. Not a problem as all were close.

This Inn was recommended by a family member, and boy am I glad she did. We kinda called last minute, and we’re lucky enough to get a room. It’s not fancy, but is very clean, very comfortable, and very cutely done. Bed was very comfortable..and tho the free breakfast isn’t big or fancy…it’s got all you need. The lobby area was busy, so we just took ours back to our room. Many thanks to the very friendly staff. It was OUR pleasure to stay here.

I’ve stayed here several times this past 6 months. Great hotel with great staff. Jessica goes above and beyond. The rooms are nice and have everything you need. My favorite room is the King sized rooms as they are newer. The suite is nice too however the bed is more like a double. Location is awesome in the middle of town and you can walk every where.
