A remote location with a private game reserve where leopards roam wild and cheetahs are kept safe in a large enclosure. Although a luxury lodge, we found it slightly impersonal. Our cabin was large, round and definitely luxurious. Our planned leopard "hunt" (searching using scanners to locate tracking collars) was cancelled due to torrential rain, even hail, which also caused...

This was one of our favourite stops in Namibia! We stayed in a lot of nice places throughout the country but the Okonjima Bush Camp was probably the best. The camp is really cool and nicely decorated. The rooms have great views of the plain and are quite spacious. The food is great and the staff is really nice and...

What a beautiful place to enjoy your Africat adventure! Separate bedroom and living space insured plenty of room to spread out and relax between your excursions. Public space looked out over the perfect place to watch animals pass by. The staff was warm and professional-- you won't be disappointed!

Four of us stayed in Okonjima Bush Camp mid-April 2017 for 2 nights. The lodge is beautifully decorated and each of the African-style chalets were large, spacious and private. And because there are only 8 chalets and and 1 junior suite, the Bush Camp can have a total of 18 people at a time which gives it a very exclusive...

We stayed there for one night... but it was not enough we would strongly recommend to stay at least for two. The room was extremely well equipped and comfortable. On one side, the room and bathroom. On the other a living room, fully open to observe the nature and the animals. The lodge is very clean, guides are excellent and...

We had booked the plains camp but were really fortunate and got an upgrade to the bush camp - only 9 rooms and a beautiful central reception, lounge and dining area. Beautifully designed and furnished bedroom/bathroom and then separate sitting/viewing room. Huge bedroom area with 2 double beds, lovely bathroom with great shower and nice toiletries. What a treat -...

The Bush Suit at Okonjima is spectacular. The suite is just a short way from the Bush Camp Lodge. It has just two rooms ideal for a family or 4 friends, a large sitting dining area and a modern kitchen. The rooms were huge and the this was only one of the two places we stayed that had a bath....

Okonjima Bush Camp just has to be experienced if you are going to Namibia. The quality of the accommodation is excellent. There was one room with a bedroom and shower room plus another room with two day beds and a small kitchenette where we found some home cooked biscuits for us and some seeds for feeding the birds that seemed...

Stayed here for two nights as part of a self-drive tour around Namibia. On the first night we went out looking for leopards and were fortunate to see a large male. The following morning we went trekking for Cheetah and the guide found 4 which were together. This was a great experience and Daniel (guide) was very good. Accommodation was...

Over all this camp has the lot. Location, lodges, game drives and more. Just have to deliver a five star service. I only stayed one night that really is not enough. Two or three, even more if time was on your side. Game drives were great fun with the rangers full of information on all the wild life. Dinner and bar service...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
OKONJIMA - home of AfriCat, a non–profit organisation, committed to long–term conservation of Namibia's large carnivores. AfriCat started out as a welfare organisation, but after many years of rescuing large numbers of carnivores from irate livestock farmers, it became apparent that the long-term survival of large carnivores on both commercial and communal farmland, is dependent on finding solutions to the ever-increasing human-wildlife conflict. OKONJIMA hosts the exclusive Villa & Bush Suite, Bush Camp, Main Camp, the private Omboroko Campsite & the Volunteer Programme – PAWS. Halfway between Windhoek and Etosha. (B1) ... more   less
