The lodge itself is an amazing structure. A high quality build with fantastic views over the Pacuare River. The extensive grounds are home to almost boundless wildlife with an amazing variety of birds, mammals and reptiles. Our afternoon walk with Edgar was an amazing experience, his encyclopaedic knowledge of the flora and fauna was truly awesome and his people skills...

This is one of the most incredible places we have visited. We had 200 degree views over the rain forest from our room which was lit by candles at night. Delicious food. They try really hard to be eco friendly with hydro power ,solar panels and locally sourced foot. Excellent tours to local indigenous village, bird watching and night tours...

My husband and I should have arrived at the Lodge by raft but due to unusual weather conditions this was not possible so we arrived by road - a 35 min 'Costa Rican massage' of a drive but worth every bump/pothole/fallen tree; an idyllic spot by the river, beautifully maintained and attention paid to every detail. Our room was spacious...
