We had a very quiet and restful stay at 9 Finger. The highlight was the half day ride to Gunn Creek campsite in Riding Mountain NP. Completely off the beaten track along an old patrol trail. Great scenery. The horses were balanced and behaved.

We stayed at the 9 Finger Ranch on the weekend of August 13 and had a great time. Our family group of 24 rented out both cabins. The rooms were much more spacious than they look on the internet. Twenty of us went horseback riding with them (13 for the one hour ride, 4 for the two hour ride, and 3 children for the 1/2 hour Children's ride) and had a great time on their scenic trails. The 4 of us who went on the two hour ride were treated to great views of the rolling hills on their property. For the one and two hour rides, the ages of our riders went from 9 to 56. The kitchen was well equipped as we took turns cooking for 24 - there were enough pots, pans, dishes and cutlery for all. We also enjoyed playing pool, darts and ping pong in their barn loft and flying our kites, tossing around a football and playing soccer in the open spaces on their property. The kids also played Jenga - one of the complimentary games they have in the cabins The highlight of every day was gathering around the fire pit cooking hot dogs and Smores and then watching the night sky. They sell firewood on site. The sky was clear for 2 of our evenings there and the stars were so bright - something you never see in the city. We were lucky to watch the meteor shower under those clear skies. If going to the ranch, remember to bring towels and toiletries (we did). They have hand towels but no bath towels.…

Our family went on a 3 day trip in Riding Mountain National Park. Luckily, I got this accommodation from last minute booking. Ilise Ketelsen was so warm and accommodating. She answer all my calls and messages so quick. The place was indeed a breath of fresh air from the congested cabins in Clear Lake. I was skeptic at first because it's an hour drive to Riding Mountain but I then realized that I made the right decision. Our family had so much fun playing outside, grilling some BBQs, doing some campfire, watching the cows and horses etc. The sunset was outstanding! We also enjoyed the company of their dogs, since we didn't know their name we called the big one Nikki and the fox looking dog Mikki. Nikki guard the house the whole night to keep the bears away from the cabin (we haven't seen any maybe, they're 10km away) We perfectly fit inside Sunrise Cabin, it was so clean and tidy. We are planning to go back here and bring more people so we could rent both cabins. Hopefully we can ride the horse next time. …

Our family stayed for three nights in the Sunset cabin. This really is a very beautiful and tranquil place with great views over the surrounding country. The cabin was very large, clean, and had a well equipped kitchen. Outside fire pit was a bonus. We went riding both days, and found the horses (all Tennessee Walkers) calm, well behaved, and suitable for all levels of riding experience. We can especially recommend the half day trip in Riding Mountain National Park which we did on our second day. You will see parts of the Park that are really not accessible in any other way, and travel through all kinds of landscapes. All in all a super place to stay, with friendly hosts and in a panoramic setting!

My son and I took the two day ride. The view of Manitoba woods and flowers were spectaular from the back of a horse. We were well taken care of and too well fed. The trail supper meal and breakfast meal were fabulous!! The guides seemed to take every precaution to ensure our safety as well. You don't need to be an experienced rider, but six plus hours in the saddle will challenge a few joints and soft spots. Manitobans need to do this!

Perfect accommodation if you are looking for some calm days with a lot of relaxation. You have good views over the prairie from your room/house. The living space in general is super clean and well maintained. The hosts are super friendly, helpful and welcoming. I would absolutely recommend staying at this place.

Off the beaten track, serene and peaceful, nothing but rolling hills of green speckled with cattle and some friendly hounds. At the edge of Manitoba's Riding Mountain Provincial Park. An ideal base to explore the surrounding region
