My husband and I spent 4 nights here and thoroughly enjoyed the property even though we are not golfers. I definitely recommend the Kiwi experience, during which we tracked and weighed a brown Kiwi chick that was realized in the wild. Most New Zealanders have never even seen a Kiwi, let alone held one. Another highlight was the CanAm farm...

A glorious experience awaits you at this heaven on earth. A lovely hillside retreat that's part farm, hotel, golf course and sanctuary. The rooms are spacious cottages with killer views of rolling countryside, pastures, course and then ocean. The food was also incredibly fresh farm to table. The hotel lobby/restaurant was more bright lodge meets Ralph Lauren style filled with...

We spent two nights at Cape Kidnappers during a recent trip to Australia/New Zealand. Located atop soaring cliffs near the NZ wine center of Hawke's Bay, this resort features only about 30 small cottages scattered along a hillside, surrounding the Lodge. Despite visiting at the peak of the summer, the resort was very cool and misty, almost as if it...

We stayed with another couple for two days recently at Cape Kidnappers. What a wonderful experience. The men golfed and had one of the most memorable rounds of their life, while my friend and I hiked the property. Our rooms were gorgeous with a view of the ocean. The staff knows you from the minute you arrive and are very...

We stayed at Cape Kidnappers more than two years ago and I never got round to writing a review. Whenever we talk about places we enjoyed, this always comes up. Starting with the arrival at the place. We came from Napier, not very far, suddenly found ourselves in front of this random gate and were sure we got lost. But...

We stayed at the Cape Kidnappers at the recommendation of our travel agent. It was great. The course if magnificent, the holes are well laid out with incredible views. Maintenance was impeccable. We stayed at the lodge, and the rooms were very large and top quality. Food and staff was all first class. Can't wait to come back.

Quick Overview: Amazing golf course, beautiful landscape, extremely comfortable lodging, and a fantastic staff. Worth Noting: When you arrive on property you drive through an area where they have done extensive logging. My wife and I kind of looked at each other like "wait, what's going on here", but not to worry, you drive through this area quickly and from...
