We were surprised by how quiet this hotel was even though it is on a busy main street. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. After we checked out and were on our way touring the area, we received a call from the motel. We had forgotten an item of clothing and they let us know right away. Thank you Motel Invitation Inn for a restful night and for going the extra step to help us out.
All in all, this is a nice motel, nothing more. Beds are good, rooms are clean and well maintained. I guess prices rise depending on the season for we paid around $145.00 for one night for what I thought would be a double room. We got one bed, one couch and a tv that was in the sitting area and couldn't be seen from the bed. The bathroom was very small. I don't think there's much competition in Ste-Marie, so I will probably go back, but I still think it's overpriced.
Our 12- bike motorcycle group planned to stay in QC, but no room was to be found the night we desired. I found this hotel about 40 km south of the city for $79/Cdn per room. The hotel is non description from the outside, but is very well furnished, great beds, and very clean. The motel arranged for 2 van taxis to take us toQC for the night. Cost was $30/pop. All in, we saw Quebec for just about$100/night. A great deal, and we could enjoy nightlife (hockey game) without worry about having to drive.
Nearing the end of my three month motorcycle trip I was looking for a lower-rate motel. I was very pleasantly surprised with this motel. An excellent rate and very clean and comfortable room. A rare combination. I didn't use the a/c as it had turned cool. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean and well supplied. Old towels were supplied to wipe down the bike on the a.m. A thoughtful gesture. A good selection of restaurants close by. The Chaudiere River / Beauce region is a great place to visit and this motel is centrally located. Once again I had fun practising my limited french skills. I found everyone in the area more than helpful when my vocabulary let me down.
I had booked this motel for my fiancé and I for an event that was taking place and this area. This is a large event for this area and I knew I was going to have to take what I could get booking a place to stay. I was quite surprised to see that this motel exceeded my expectations. This isn't a fancy motel by any means but it did us just fine for the 3 nights that we stayed. The room was small but it was just the right size for us since we were only there basically to sleep and were gone for the most part of the day. Upon arrival, we had to find a housekeeping lady to check us in but she was very prompt in finding the owner for us to do so. Once we got to our room, it was quite quaint. The bed was very comfy, it had a bar fridge which was handy for keeping our water for the next few days cold, decent sized bathroom, nice TV and overall it was very clean. One thing that was unpleasant was that there was a fan in the bathroom but it didn't seem to work. We couldn't find a switch for it and if it was on the same switch as the light, it didn't work. This left the walls dripping with moisture even though we didn't take long hot showers. We turned the AC unit (which worked very well) on which seemed to help the issue. The shower head was a bit odd. It had quite a bit a pressure, so much that it was almost unbearable to stand in one spot for any length of time. It has a switch on it but it was either no pressure or too much. There was a bit of a gap between the door for the bathroom and the wall, you could see in a very tiny bit, needless to say it wasn't too private but being a couple this was fine. Our room was cleaned every day and fresh linens as well. Overall this was a good motel. VERY close to many restaurants and fast food places as well as a grocery store and pharmacy, right in the middle of everything to be quite honest. Great spot for our little trip. I would recommend for sure!…
