Soooo close to 5 star! Important to note that I don’t compare a Slumber Inn to a Ritz Carlton…. that just wouldn’t be fair. So, this isn’t a luxury hotel but I loved it! It was clean! My bed was DREAMY comfortable…. so much so so that I tore the bedding apart to find the brand name ( Beautyrest). I had a large desk with a great amount of work space, great lighting and a big window. If you like to see the comings and goings of guests, ask for a room in the front! It was quiet, had air conditioning and amazing water pressure in a great size shower. My room smelled clean and the hallways were filled with aroma from their 24 hour coffee station that had coffee, capichino, French Vanilla coffee, Mochachino( and a bunch of other “inos”. Breakfast was basic scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, bacon, bagels, toast, waffles, Oikus Yogurt, Cereal…. certainly something for everyone! I enjoyed my room… it was perfect for one person on business. ( one queen) So why the loss of one star? I anticipate a warm friendly welcome from hotel staff when I walk in. It is very important to me. The young girl ( who looked like maybe she was being trained) was very sweet and friendly and welcomed me with a beautiful sweet smile. The older lady training her ( or watching over her) did not speak one word to me. She didn’t smile ( in fact quite the opposite) so it was a let down. I didn’t see her again until checking out…. and again she didn’t smile or speak UNTIL I mentioned to the young girl that I would be putting how dreamy my bed was in my Trip Advisor review. THEN she was much more friendly…… but, it was too late to get that 5th star. I don’t like writing this as I don’t want anyone to get in trouble… I just think people should be aware of how important it is to be friendly. The rest of the staff were very friendly and I would highly recommend staying here. You can drive 3 minutes down one road and find walmart, grocery, gas, everything you need! Very Happy with my stay!! Note- this was a pet friendly. The only reason I knew was because I heard a dog bark once and it stopped instantly. There was no smell of animals!

Hubby and i spent the nite there, had an appointment at Valley Hospital next day, arrived before check in, was no problem to get a room , the lady at the desk , i found was very direct, when she had me to fill out the form, she went over what i was to initial, when she said about the smoking policy and weed use, she basically raised her voice, like i was going to smoke and do weed in the room. Now i stayed in hotels before, think by now i know there is no smoking in the rooms, i found her to be rather rude. Anyhow, got all checked in, she put us on the third floor, with steps to climb, now i find it hard to climb our steps at home, but to walk up 2 flights of steps was a struggle. Now having said that, i should had requested a room on the first floor, so that was my fault, never thought at the time. Room was very clean, had fridge, microwave, coffee maker, although should be more then 2 coffee in the room. Bathroom was well stocked. The one chair that was in our room, needs to be replaced, the back was all torn, stuffing was showing all way down the back of chair. Breakfast next morning was ok. Told lady next morning when we checked out, u need elevators, she just laughed, thought ok then. Least was a place to stay and not far from the hospital

First I would like to warn guests about making a reservation. I wanted to call the hotel directly but there was no phone number except for a 1-800 number of which I found out when I arrived that the number was for reservation @reservation.com of which they automaticaly charge you a service fee of 19.99 NON REFUNDABLE and do not accept CAA discounts except if you get a room in person. I am .01 per cent I will not choose this hotel again. We had a room on the main floor which was very noisy with people slamming doors advised them of the issue but didn't see to be concerned.

Don't stay if you want a good night sleep. The South Colchester Academy Basketball team was staying here. They were running up and down the hall, sounded like a herd of elephants, the loud slamming of the doors, boys yelling in hallway, while the coaches did absolutely nothing to quiet these animals down. This went on from 5pm to past midnight. What an embarrassment for this school. I felt bad for the staff. Lesson learned! Always ask if a team is staying on premises and if so, never get a room near them or on the floor below. Otherwise, place is in a good location, decent rooms and breakfast was good.

We chose this hotel because it was the cheapest in the Wolfville NS area. This turned out to be an excellent choice besides the fair price.

The room including bathroom was totally clean, even in the corners and around fixtures, hospital clean.

The beds (we had twins) were soft but not saggy; 2 pillows each and spare blankets too. Comfy and clean.

Breakfast was not the usual of a bun and a drink in a bag. A full menu, cooked and continental was ordered and served to the table by a patient, careful server with a good memory!

There were 2 comfy desk chairs in the room as well as a frig and microwave.

In the entrance hall was a machine serving fancy coffees. I had a latte and it was hot and smooth.

However there was a shower, no bath tub. Perhaps we should have requested one.

Staff alert and friendly.

We were a older group of 4 family members going to visit another family member in nursing home. I had stayed here before so I knew it was perfect for our stay. After checking on their site I saw where they had a group rate which offered adjoining rooms with 1 queen bed and 2 twin beds which was ideal for us. This was at a cheaper rate than booking 2 rooms separate . (which I could of got a cheaper rate for medical appt.)They also offered free tea and coffee 24 hours and newspaper plus a complimentary continental breakfast also. The beds were very comfortable, rooms were clean , not large rooms but all we needed.

Hubby and i go every year to the valley drive in, we do an overnight cause of the driving home in the dark. I chose the Slumber Inn cause it was the closest to the drive in. We arrived around 230, went to check in and the lady that checked us in went above and beyond, was super friendly and very funny. She had me laughing for sure. The room was very clean, had a fridge, microwave and coffee maker with coffee. Bathroom was clean . Only compliant was the ac, had it going high as it would go, to us didnt seem like it was cooling off, a little but still found it warm. Breakfast was included with our stay. Went to see what they had the 2 very nice young ladies said to sit and they would bring us our food. They had boiled and scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, pastries, coffee and condiments. The nice young lady took our orders and brought us our food. Lets just say didnt leave hungry. I highly recommend this place to stay, its close to the Big Stop, in case u are super hungry, lol.

Good price, comfy beds, clean, and the staff are very friendly. I will definitely be a re-turning guest. From as soon as we entered a friendly handsome younger man welcomed us, he was so kind, he helped my Aunt with her bags up the steps.
Breakfast was delicious, and we were all full leaving for the morning.

Had a great stay! Short but sweet. There for a wedding and the front desk agent Sagar was exceptionally patient and kind. We had been golfing and were looking to check in early but they were sold out and I called a ‘few’ times to see how the rooms were turning over. He didn’t mind!! Thanks to Patricia McQuillan for assisting with our reservation as well. All in all - excellent customer service!

Booked on Expedia and showed up and they told me to go elsewhere because my card wasn't acceptable. Doesn't make sense since I used it to book online. Offered to use another card and told me no and go elsewhere. Rude older lady and same with the guy on the desk later on. They told me I won't be getting a refund but at least Expedia was helpful when I contacted them and told them my issue. But never in my life will I deal with this hotel and the rude older lady who says she was the assistant manager but wouldn't get me anyone else. I tried calling back later and got someone else who agreed with me that the hotel has issues but still wouldn't help me at all and hung up in my ear. Boycott this place for sure.
