It's been nearly a year and we still think about our wonderful stay last summer. It is conveniently located near the Labrador Ferry, and located on the water where a short walk gets you in tough with small-town NL. We enjoyed seeing different ways that locals dried firewood, stored traps, and we loved watching the whales as we walked up and down the coastal road through town. The place itself is spotless and modern, and the splendid breakfast makes me want to charter a plane just to eat there one more time. Such attention to detail, and if you want local history, this is your stop.
This B&B has it all. My husband and I have been visiting Newfoundland every summer for many years and two years ago we stayed at this beautiful newly renovated home for the first time. This summer we had our second wonderful stay. The Caines are a lovely friendly couple who make you feel welcome and at home immediately. The view of the ocean from your room is stunning and the home is beautifully furnished. Our room (we had the same room both years) was inviting with huge windows for the view, a fireplace, and a very comfortable bed. The room and bathroom were immaculate. Soaps and shampoo was furnished. And the breakfast! You could order what you wanted. We went with bacon and eggs and of course the homemade bread and partridge berry jam. YUM! Can't wait to go back. Thanks Gloria…
My fiancé and I stayed here while driving around New Foundland. We found the place online. The place is nice, transmits a warm feeling, impresive view of the ocean and the hosts are amazing. You feel at home as soon as you meet them and they prepare delicious homemade meals. If we are in the area again, for sure that is the place we will stay. Thank you for your hospitality.
This is old NL hospitality in a modern well done home right on the water. They have built a windowed-room off the kitchen and it's a great spot from which to see sun rise and set, and animal life. The hostess was your typical "old school" Newfoundler, chatty, funt to talk to, and eager to share her life story (or the most recent chapters of it). Rooms have a refrigerator and ample closet space. You can come and go as you wish and there is a very filling eggs-to-order breakfast. The location is about 10 minutes or so to the ferry to Lab.. There's a good simple restaurant right next to the ferry office.
We had a lovely stay with Gloria at Island’s Vista B&B. Our very private en-suite room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was delicious with eggs, bacon, homemade bread and local jam. The location is well situated to the St Barbe Ferry - 5 minutes away. The view from the condo was beautiful - water on 3 sides. Great sunset.
