Walsingham Abbey Grounds surround the ruins of the historic Augustinian Priory of our Lady, England's most famous medieval pilgrimage shrine. The landscape garden, woods and river walks are also renowned for the white carpets of naturalised snowdrops which offer stunning displays in February. Admission includes the Shirehall Museum, originally a pilgrim hostel, which was converted into a Courtroom in Georgian times, and was in use as a court up to the 1970s. Today the Shirehall is Walsingham's museum of the history of pilgrimage and of local law and order. Also on display, Walsingham 950 time line tracing village history since 1061.

St. Seraphim’s Orthodox Chapel, previously the Walsingham Railway station, is open for all pilgrims and visitors to Walsingham, as a place of worship and mission. The St Seraphim's Trust also offers at the same site an Icon Museum, Railway heritage display and The Quiet Garden, which is a natural space that complements the spirituality of the Chapel and provides a calming and natural reflective space, all areas are open to the public, generally from 9am to dusk or 5pm. The Shirehall Museum and the Bridewell Prison are two of Walsingham’s hidden treasures. Admission to Walsingham Abbey Grounds includes the Shirehall Museum. Admission to the Bridewell is on request, we keep the key at the Museum (deposit required).
