The Ken Seiling Waterloo Region museum is the largest community museum in Ontario with two indoor galleries, a war memorial and the Waterloo Region Hall of Fame. Our main museum gallery tells the story of Waterloo Region while our feature gallery showcases local and travelling exhibits from around the world. Located on the second floor of the main museum gallery is the Waterloo Region Hall of Fame. The second floor also contains a War Memorial with a visual list of the names of all those from Waterloo County/Region who have given their lives for their country. Explore the Big Idea that Bee health and diversity reflect the impact of human actions on the environment. Pollinators, including bees, are responsible for one in every three bites of food we consume.

Doon Heritage Village is a 60 acre living history village, exploring life in rural Waterloo Region in the year 1914. The village is open daily throughout the summer season; and open weekdays only during the months of September, October and November. The village is open on selected weekends in December - check the museum's website for specific dates and times. The Waterloo Region Museum is the entrance to Doon Heritage Village. One admission price includes entry to the village and museum exhibit galleries. The village comes to life with knowledgeable interpreters dressed in authentic 1914 clothing and features historic buildings, farm animals and fun activities the whole family will enjoy. Schneider Haus National historic site is a vibrant community space nestled in the heart of downtown Kitchener. The site features the historic house museum and galleries. Visitors can experience timely exhibits, and learn about the connection between our community's past and present. While Schneider Haus National Historic Site has previously focused on one year of the history of the site we are currently working on a long process of researching and working with community members to expand the narrative and accurately reflect the history of our site and its many untold stories. Discovery Space Our new Children’s Discovery Space, specifically curated for tiny hands and big imaginations. Inspired by a love of unstructured play, the Discovery Space is designed to embrace the “messy play movement” and empowers children of all ages to learn through play.

Chicopee is a not-for-profit organization providing affordable outdoor recreation facilities to residents in the Waterloo Region. During the winter, Chicopee offers skiing and snowboarding while in during the summer, Chicopee offers 7km of bike trails, an 18-hole disc golf course, outdoor climbing facilities, 5 Har-Tru Clay Tennis Courts and 6 beach volleyball courts.
