Cannot say enough good things about this Hotel. Beautiful, clean building, rooms, grounds. Staff take such pride in their work! Front desk staff were amazingly friendly and helpful and full of knowledge about the area! The pub was so much fun with great attentive staff, shout out to Paul our waiter! Great suggestion for shooter! Marie was everywhere making sure guests were taken care of. Must stay here! Would 100% stay here again.

Comfortable and well maintained. We got a friendly and helpful welcome.. We were just yards from the water and we could safely leave our kayaks just above the high tide line. One added benefit for us (obviously, can’t guarantee this for everyone) while having morning coffee we got to watch a lone sea otter commute to its clan. It liked to swim on its back. The little town of Sointula, its island and the adjacent island with Alert Bay all have fascinating histories. We’ll certainly return.

Alert Bay is incredible and just down the road from the ferry dock is the Seine Boat Inn. TerryLynn greeted us at the hotel and I automatically felt the small town charm. Loved chatting to her and her easy manner. Rooms are nicely finished and we had a water view/deck on each side of the room. Convenient to have a kitchen as well and very comfy beds! I would definitely stay here again

We stayed one night here after taking the BC Ferry from Prince Rupert. I called ahead to make sure we could check in after midnight, and was assured we could. We ended up in a little line of vehicles coming off the ferry and going to the Glen Lyon. Check-in was rapid and efficient, which was very much appreciated. Our room was large, clean quiet and comfortable. I can't speak to the restaurant, as it was closed the next morning to accommodate a bus tour that had also come off the ferry.

More joy and laughter than stars up above. Second experience with my gal pal fishing at Kagoagh Lodge. You may arrive rather stressed? If so - - Welcome to a world of beauty/peace/love and harmony. It's all there at your fingertips. And fish??? No guarantees in the fishing world but they are out there !!!! Mother Nature is a fact. Weather is reality. Fishing is a sport. Be prepared for anything. Luck was on our side. Salmon, halibut, lingcod, beautiful smaller rockfish - - caught them all. Two outstanding Captains at the wheel. Hallsee & AA - Scrappie & Nygard bow with thanks. We had a ridiculously fun feeding frenzy at one spot. Coho biting keeping me roaring with delight. True story - - We actually caught a keeper coho first cast, second day in under 5 seconds ! 3 witnesses Assistance at all times should I need it. Responsible, knowledgeable, skilled Captains on duty for us during those two ten hour treks. Michele was there for me too. Fun at it's finest. The food, sweet Gina and staff - - Our road trip was 100 percent perfect. ✨

Nimpkish was a perfect home for our two days on Cormorant Island. We could have stayed another day very happily and probably should have arranged a whale watching tour with Seasmoke Tours. The hospitality was outstanding, the bed super comfortable and kitchenette facilities thoughtfully stocked. The stunning view from the deck was a delight as was beautiful flower garden outside our room (#8) The kitchen and hearty continental breakfast were much appreciated given restaurants were generally not open while we were there. U’Mista Cultural Centre definitely worth a visit and lots of good trials.

Great location on the harbour. We had a king room on 4th floor, it was huge and the bed very comfortable. The carpet looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed. The lady on reception chose to take a 15 min break just as the ferry docked so the check in process was a shambles and long waits. The ‘breakfast’ is a bag with a selection of items in it that bear little resemblance to what you asked for. The mgt should upgrade this option, it just looks cheap. Pretty good overall but a few areas for improvement

Stayed here for 3 nights. The place has been full renovated. The only problem is that no where to hang your clothes, no closet. Suggest they put up hooks in the hallway & a few hangers, spread apart. Nice family run place, staff. Great view of the port.

Doesn't appear like much on the outside, but this was a good stay. The room was clean and appeared recently renovated. The carpet was in need of cleaning or replacement, but otherwise everything else was very nice. It was odd to have to check in at the bar next door, but not a big deal. Would stay again.
