Stayed here whilst travelling camino Norte by a combination of Autobus and walking. Excellent respite from poor weather with all facilities required for very comfortable stay. Near Autobus estancion, with great Common area to relax, and kitchen to cook. Dorm bunk beds comfortable with lockers, own light, and usb connections. Host Angel is full of information, and very welcoming with grat attentional hostel cleanliness. A wonderful break from some of the more basic albergues encountered on the camino, and booked an extra night to rest /relax and enjoy the facilities.

Apart from the great location, what makes this place something to remember for is the kindness of the owners. Despite of the hardships the pandemic has casted over hostels, they go out of their way to create a safe environment in this situation, maintaining professionalism but also a good atmosphere in the accomodation. Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed my trip and the accommodation was perfect. Check in at 5 PM / Checkout 11 AM but they will allow you leave bags if you are touring the City during the day. I definitely recommend and would return if staying in Santander again

The hostel is quite close to the bus station, about 10 minutes walking uphill (somewhat steep uphill) and an easy 5 minutes walking down. Rafael, the owner, was friendly and very generous in giving tips and info about attractions to visit or restaurants where to eat. The hostel was very clean, both the room and the bathrooms (separate bathrooms for men and women). There are 16 beds in the main room and in the bathroom there are three sinks, two toilets and two showers. I never had to wait that much to use any of them, most of the time they were available. Each bed is equipped with its own light and outlet and I could easily store my backpack (50L) in the locker. Wifi worked perfectly well. In the morning Rafael prepares breakfast, which was a nice touch (toast, yoghurt, cereal, ham, eggs, tea/coffee). Price is competitive and overall the hostel offers a good value accommodation.

Mimosa is situated in a quiet street, so there is no problem with noise. The room was nice and had a balcony facing the street. Staff was also very helpful and nice. The breakfast was included and was good. There is a small bar and cafe at the ground floor, next to the reception desk. We wer starting AS pilgrims in Santander (where we stopped last year) and Mimosa i almost next to the Santiago Way, very convenient.

Pension Madrid 21 was the strangest hostel experience I've ever had. I arrived at the building and buzzed in. When i got to the front door of the apartment I found that no one spoke any English. In the end after having to find a translated I was given a key and told to walk around the corner and about a block or 2 down. I had keys for a room in an apartment there. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and the wifi was strong but there was no communal room or shared kitchen.

5 minute walk to bus station, then 5 minutes into town or 20 minutes to the beach. I have used this hostal a few times, but forget there is a hotel with the same name a street or so away. Nice big room, with good shower, the staff are friendly. The one main thing they could do would be a new carpet on the hallway upstairs. First impressions last and a shabby carpet lets the place down. Nice cafe downstairs.
