    Prettiest piazza in Rome
Piazza Navona was built on the site where the 1st century Stadium of Domitian (Circus Agonalis) once stood with 20,000 spectators cheering over athletic competitions, thus defining its present elongated oval shape. It was eventually converted to a delightful public square since the 15th century, hosting many festivals and theatrical events over the centuries which continues till today with street performers such as dancers and magicians enlivening the atmosphere. It is also the site of Rome’s main Christmas Market in December. The piazza is a showcase of Baroque masterpieces, anchored by the 17th-century Baroque-styles Palazzo Pamphilj and Church of Sant’Agnese in Agone. But the show-stoppers are undoubtedly the 3 splendid fountains, namely the Fountain of the Four Rivers, Fontana del Moro and Fountain of Neptune, which wow visitors with their stunning sculptural creations. No wonder this square is often regarded as the prettiest piazza in Rome!

    Fabulous square
This is a fabulous picturesque square in the centre of this beautiful city. It is dominated by one of many obelisks to be found in the city. There are a number of restaurants and cafes in the square which, unfortunately, take advantage of tourists with their pricing. Much better to venture a short distance to find much more cost effective offerings

    "Famous square"
It is one of the most beautiful squares in Rome, where fountains and sculptures stand out. It is the meeting point for Romans and tourists, there is a lot of activity and it is enjoyable to be in that place; the bustle of people, the sound of church bells, the sounds of some itinerant musician, the cafes in its surroundings... You can not lose this!!

    a business dinner
The Trattoria Dar Bottarolo presents itself as a typical restaurant in the centre, offering a selection of Roman dishes at moderate prices. The environment is simple, the menu offers the usual suspects: carbonara, amatriciana, and cacio e pepe, prepared in a traditional way but without any particular surprises. In summary this place offers an honest culinary experience, ideal for those looking for a quick lunch break or an unpretentious dinner in the heart of the city.

    Do the underground listening tour.
We visited this a couple of times but by far the best was doing the underground tour which can be done just by walking into the booking office. You can see part of the history at one end and then the office is just around the corner where you use headsets to listen to the information and they walk you over to the other side of the old arena and you go underground there as well well worth it. Interesting.

Piazza Navona of the La Roma
The remarkable skill and artistry showcased in the city's fountains and squares is truly mesmerizing. The Piazza is particularly spectacular, offering a breathtaking sight. I recommend visiting during the day to fully appreciate their beauty, but don't miss the chance to return in the evenings for a completely different atmosphere and experience.

    Majestic and modern
Piazza Navona is located on the site of the ancient stadium from the time of Julius Caesar. Luxurious palaces (the most impressive Palazzo Pamphilj), churches, fountains, three of them and all magnificent, must be viewed slowly, which we managed to do on January 5th. On the same day we learned about the theatrical holiday on the day of the Three Kings, as well as St. Epiphany. Befana is the name of a very old woman with a long nose, who, according to folk tradition, on January 6 brings sweet gifts to the people of Italy (if she behaved well during the year) and coals (if she behaved badly). And here we are at the holiday. The majestic and elegant square turned into a fabulous one: music, singing, various games for children and adults, shooting galleries, a carousel, a cafe. We took part in several competitions. It was fun and there were a lot of people, even the Befans handing out candy found it difficult to get through.

    Lovely area
This area is great for not only restaurants and shopping, but people watching as well. This large city square is full of history going all the way back to the 1st century. Several other nearby attractions are easily accessible from this area. I’m not the biggest fan of art, but you’ll see many talented people showcasing their handmade paintings, sculptures, and drawings. At the piazza is a large church that we were fortunate enough to stop in and have a quick look.

    Good Place to hang out
This was our local square as we were staying only a 5 minute walk away and we found ourselves drawn here every evening during our stay. I preferred it at night as it had a nice atmosphere and it wasn't quite as busy as during the day. Lots of artists, musicians and performers make it a lovely evening spot. We didn't eat in the square though, cheaper to eat just off it.

  • Esquilino Hotels
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

  • Monti Hotels
Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighbourhood just west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season, quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its cobblestone streets. The neighbourhood supports unique and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at Piazza della Madonna dei Monti anytime after lunch and you'll always find something going on.

  • Trastevere Hotels
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.

  • Ludovisi / Via Veneto Hotels
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.

  • Campo Marzio Hotels
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighbourhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (21:00), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
