When we first arrived I was a little horrified as the chalets we were given were not the chalets we (my father) had initially booked. Not only that, but my first view of the site was a parked up caravan and the first thought that went through my head was that we were going to spend the rest of the week on a trailer park. Nevertheless, our greeting by the staff was extremely friendly and the animation team immediately introduced themselves to us and showed us to both our chalets (405 & 406). THE CHALETS: Although the pictures of what we had originally booked looked much nicer than what we got, I was still very pleased. An outdoor kitchen (basic, but fully functional) within our own private patio area. The chalets were air-conditioned, our chalet had two bedrooms; one was a double bedroom and the other was a double bedroom with a bunk bed in total six people could be accommodated. There was also a large bathroom with a shower unit. I have to say the water pressure in the shower was excellent. Both bedrooms had large wardrobes and the double bedroom also had Sky TV. (Chalet 406) The second chalet we rented also had a kitchen within its own private patio area. The difference with this chalet was that it was three bedrooms with a smaller bathroom and only two airconditioned bedrooms. Two double bedrooms and a smaller room with bunk beds. In total six people could also be accommodated. One of the double rooms also had Sky TV and all the rooms had large wardrobes.  The room without the air-conditioning had a floor standing fan. Both chalets are accessible with a key card and just inside the room is a slot for the card for the electricity. I have to say they were very clean when we arrived. Even though I stated the kitchens were basic, they had everything you needed. A large fridge freezer, a 4 ring gas top cooker, pots, pans, plates, cutlery  serving dishes / bowls, coffee cups, glasses, bottle opener and an espresso coffee machine. It was everything we needed. Beware; - They are very fussy with the rubbish. There are two collections per day but all rubbish must be separated. - Bed linen and towels are not provided. You can rent a towel and linen pack for €10 each per week. You'll get your bed sheets, bath towel, face towel and hand towels in each pack. THE SITE: There is everything you could possibly need and plenty to do. The animation team always kept everyone busy (they also left those who didn't want to do anything alone - you didn't feel hassled). A basic supermarket can be found onsite selling all essentials including fruit and vegetables (but not fresh meat). Its only a small shop but for all cleaning products, drinks, pasta, hams, bread, snacks and fresh vegetables then it's great. If you wanted to do a bigger shop then there is a bigger supermarket just a 9 minute drive away. There is a well stocked bar by the pool selling drinks, snack food and even €1 vending machines for the kids. My daughter must have spent at least €20 in those machines the while time we were there. Plenty of seating, friendly staff and chilled atmosphere. The pool is right near the bar. I have to say that the pool is quite dated, but it is what it is. It's large with 2 ladders; one at either end of the pool and a life guard always on duty. The opening hours are from 10am until 1pm and then 4pm until 7pm. Sun loungers are also around the pool. You must wear a swimming cap in the pool and if you haven't got one, then you can buy one from the bar for €2 each. The restaurant is located by the pool. We were not very impressed by the food served to us there. We were half board on this holiday so everyday we were given 2 options but there was really a lack of imagination when it came to feeding us. In a week we were served the same food at least 3 times and although the pasta dishes were really quite filling the meat or fish dishes were miniscule and ingredients were clearly counted. I won't go into too much detail about the food, but let me just say the best night was when we were given the Pizza menu.  The pizza's are lovely, especially the fried Calzone. I highly recommend it, but beware its HUGE so don't go having an Antipasto before hand because then you will struggle to finish your pizza. I haven't gotany nice things to say about the food served here, but I think it would be unfair not to mention how friendly and hard working the staff are. The amphitheatre is the place to be every night. Starting with the minidisco and then entertainment provided by the hardworking animation team. A laundrette can be found just behind the restaurant.  This needs to be booked the night before. The cost is €8 including the soap for a 1 hour cycle. After this you need to dry the clothes yourself on the air dryer they provide you with at your accommodation.  There is no tumble dryer; we the hot sun there is no need for a dryer. There is nothing better than hanging your clothes to dry in the fresh air. A short walk away is the beach. It's a pebbly beach, but the water is so clear and to the left of the beach is a cliff that people were jumping off, but even more exciting was that there was a cave that we swam through more than once. The beach also has a bar selling all sorts of snacks and ice creams. There are also showers (that you need to get a coin for use from the bar) and toilets. When you initially check into the camping village, you are given your beach card with allocated sunbeds that are only for your use during your stay. Other guests were leaving their inflatables and beach toys on the beach every night at their beds avoiding having to carry them back to the camp. The beach is really pleasant with a nice breeze. You can rent peddle boats, canoes and their are also other activities to do there. You also get the usual sellers walking up and down the beach selling all sorts of things from bracelets and sunglasses to clothes. I bought myself 4 very light cotton summer dresses. I was very happy. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my holiday there. My initial feeling of 'oh god, I'm holidaying on a trailor park' soon changed. Every single person there was so friendly (including other guests), there was a real sense of a relaxed community.  Children having fun walking around  you could hear a lot of laughter and just watch everyone relax around their chalets, caravans or tents.

This is a lovely, small and surrounded by nature resort. The staff is very pleasant and the facilities are all at your doorstep. Very clean and great food. Free kayak, sunbeds and umbrellas. Massimo at the reception is easy to deal with and approachable. You can hear the sound of the waves while you sleep in your cottage which is priceless. Highly recommended!

Hotel Calanca has been the best stay we have had in Italy. Everyone from Andrea, to Valentina, to every single employee was professional and exceeded every standard. Customer service was a 10 out of 10! Beach is about 5 mins away. PERFECT FOR KIDS! Sanding and shallow. Hotel also included a ledo which was awesome! They will also assist in booking excursions or tours for you. Free parking and free internet. Tons of places to eat within walking distance. Great prices for families as well. Pool was very clean! Kids swam in the pool everyday. Room was excellent, clean and spacious for a family of 4 with an ocean view. Breakfast was included and a great way to start our day. Service again was excellent. Dinner was wonderful. 10 out of 10! Local wine was perfectly paired to our dinner. The staff went above and beyond. Andrea and Valentina are exceptional host. Our family enjoyed it so much we plan on returning. Marina Di Camerota and Hotel Calanca now hold a special place in our hearts. We hope this information was helpful and you enjoy Hotel Calanca as we did.

The entire place is beautifully landscaped, the room were well spaced to provide maximum comfort and privacy. The food is well prepared and the restaurant staff always willing to help. Covid restrictions well placed. Parking and beach chairs were assigned per room. We took the Bilocale Silver package and have the room close to the amenities plus second line beach chairs. Everything is clean and staff are amazing. We traveled with our 4-year old and they offer plenty to entertain kids. I highly recommend this place for a relaxing family vacation. We will be back.

I have had such an amazing time at this hotel. Very elegant comfortable rooms which are very clean and dreamy. Most importantly, the reception and all people working at the hotel, they are all very nice, polite and caring. That was my first time traveled alone and this hotel with a fantastic view from my balcony and kind warm people took care of me made my solo-travel just perfect. They taking care of you all the time. Most nice hotel and kind personal stuff. Amazing memory. The hotel is very close like 300 meter to the sunny sandy beach and also in the middle of center of the city. You will never regret it if you chose this hotel. My special thanks to Egidio and Giovani De Vita and Federico... and many others who works there very hard to making the most pleasant journey for me and you ...💙👌🏻

My cousin took us to this awesome little resort on the beach at Camerota. The water was clean & clear and the beach was well maintained. The service we received was outstanding and was only surpassed by the quality of the food. It was hands down one of the best meals I had in Italy. As someone that works in the hospitality industry I truly appreciated the level of effort they put in to make their guests feel welcomed and comfortable.

The site was very clean, just as the pictures show. The cottage was lovely, very clean, brand new bathroom, beds were comfortable. People were very friendly. Beach was clean and it was good having an allocated subbed and umbrella on the beach. Pool was excellent too. Couldn’t fault it really. Highly recommended.
