Great to experience (my second time), just be wary. Not for people who don’t like crowds, we literally couldn’t move for the thousands of people there at all kinds of different times throughout the day. Also, a character came up to my husband and posed and so I took a photo, next thing you know, five others had joined. They then asked me for $30 for taking the pic on my own phone. They said it was $5 per person to which I replied, I didn’t ask you to have a photo, you just came up to us. We walked away from lots of abuse from them.

Not much new can be written about Times Square, other than I agree it is a "must experience" for any visitor, just to be able to say you know what the fuss is about. It is buzzing (though not with many native New Yorkers, it must be said). Great idea to have the raked seating to catch your breath and take in the sight of all the neon. What is a must to see here is the "last minute" theatre tickets on sale at the windows under the seats. Fabulous bargain basement prices for many shows on the day - including Broadway and off-Broadway shows. We grabbed less than half-price tickets for the Neil Diamond show "Beautiful Noise" which turned out to be the highlight of our visit to NYC.

After formal checking in at Hotel Marriott and briefing by our Tour manager we visited Times Square which is just a 3 minute walk from the hitel. I was really surpriesd to witness the illumination and hustle-bustle, besides entertainment centers depicting songs/scenes of famous films of other countries on larhe screens. Lots of people were also gathered in a square like place that is formed at the intersection of Broadway, Seventh Avenue and 42nd streed. A few smaller streets were also merging at this Square. There were also some people wearing fancy dresses, i.e., in funny garbs making themlook like Statue of Liberty, or elephants or big apes etc. Besiides, many females with heavy make up were dressed in just bikini and passers-by were taking selfies with them. Later I came to know that people pay them some money for selfies with these garbed characters. Personallly speaking, this apalled me but coming back to the Times Square, it is a major tourist attraction for the local people and probably a bigger attraction for people of Asian countries where such types of activities are not experienced. I also took a few photographs and videos of the different activities at the Times Square, which derives its from the poular Times Magazine, whose publishers were initially operating from here. It is a must visit place of New York City, Manhattan midtown area.

Neighborhood par excellence of nightlife day and night. Even in the evening it seems day. Lights everywhere , music , big traffic especially on the weekend . You easily spend a lot of money if you are not careful. Prices are quite high even a single hotdog costs $10. From here they can walk to other points of interest. At time Square you will find the M&M and Lego store waooo fantastic!!! Beware of people dressed up as Disney characters because they approach tourists with a smile for the photo and then when the photo is taken they want $5.

Obviously very famous all over the world. You pass through it several times during your stay in NYC both day and night. To see the Big Screen, the Red Staircase and TKTS if you are looking for very discounted tickets for Broadway shows that we recommend you see at least one (average duration over 3 hours starting at 19:00 every day).

We first stopped by after a Broadway Show since the lights were visible from down the road. The area is an experience with lots of lights everywhere. There are billboards all around the area all with different pictures and messages. When you take a closer look, there are plenty of restaurants and shops located everywhere. There were also quite a few performers as well as people selling items or photos. I also did stop by during the day and it was also quite an experience but just not as bright. There were quite a lot of people moving in all directions so it can be a bit cramped at times, particularly when waiting for the lights to cross the street. I also got lucky seeing it snow in the area. I thought it was quite an interesting place to stop by and look around. Some stores can get so busy that there is a line outside though.

Times Square is undeniably the heart of New York City in many ways. Geographically, it’s centrally located in Midtown, close to Central Park and surrounded by a wealth of attractions like Grand Central Station, the Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, and the New York Public Library. There’s so much to see and do around Times Square, which is always dazzling with its bright lights, street performers, and the constant throng of people capturing photos and videos. Be prepared to be approached by costumed characters offering photo ops—these are fun but typically come with a fee. The area is also packed with restaurants, including many famous American chains, so you’ll always find something to eat, no matter the time of day or night. Despite the chaos, there’s a certain charm to Times Square, making it a must-visit spot where the energy of the city is palpable 24/7.

Loud, colorful, and dazzling – who doesn’t know the countless neon advertisements at Times Square? Seeing them in person was truly a spectacle. Times Square is especially impressive in the evening than during the day. But be prepared for crowds – I’m sure everyone visiting New York ends up walking through Times Square at least once. Along Times Square, you’ll find numerous shops and food stalls. For a great view and an amazing photo opportunity, head to the red steps. You’ll also come across performers dressed as Disney characters or Marvel superheroes, eager to pose for photos with tourists. Times Square is a must-see when in New York. Just keep in mind that the noise level, already high in New York, is even louder here.

We were swept away by the lively nightlife, with dazzling lights and the buzz of excitement all around us. We wandered hand in hand, soaking in the energy of street performers and the aroma of delicious food carts. From catching a glimpse of a Broadway show to dancing in the streets, every moment felt exhilarating. Times Square is a feast for the senses, and we left with our hearts racing and smiles plastered on our faces. What a night to remember!

The dazzling lights, massive digital billboards, and bustling crowds create a sensory overload that's unforgettable. We were particularly impressed by the world-class theaters, with their ornate architecture and captivating Broadway productions. The multi-level stores offered a diverse range of shopping experiences, from souvenirs to high-end fashion. While navigating the crowds can be challenging, Times Square is a must-see destination that embodies the energy and excitement of New York City.
