Beautiful views if your room is river side. Amazing bed. Restaurant quality was excellent and beautiful view. Generally pleasant and clean property; parking is nearby and free. Room was comfortable. Only issue was that the pool heater was broken and hot tub under repair, so not working. With these two things fixed, I think my stay would have been 100%.

This was my first stay at this location. The room rate was very reasonable. The room was tidy and clean and the bed was very comfortable. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. I will definitely book here again when I am working in the area.

Stayed here for a few days at the beginning of October and loved our stay. People were so friendly and cottages had everything we needed. Views were incredible and location to restaurants and groceries was a close walk away. Property was very clean and well kept. Wifi reception was very good as well.

I had stayed here years ago and had no idea that they had done a full reno on the building when I booked. Beautiful room with fully remodelled bathroom with walk in shower. New beds, carpet, linens, etc.. Wifi is great. Breakfast is good! Staff is excellent. They are still doing some work on the building. I was here a couple of nights a week for 5 weeks and each time something else had been painted, upgraded, etc…. Very good value. Perfect spot if you are in the area for business.

Clean hotel room for a reasonable price located near restaurants and fishing. Two aspects to note are breakfasts and a hot water concern. We didn’t eat the breakfast at 8:15am as it wasn’t appealing (cold waffles on display) and we couldn’t get the water warm enough for a shower late Tuesday evening.

We had a great 2-night stay in June and the owner Byzie and Diesel (dog) look after all of your needs. The cabins have everything you need including TV, Wifi, Full Kitchen and Bathroom plus a big porch screened in and not. The fishing is the best (see pics.) and many other activities including swimming, canoeing, golf in nearby Doaktown, and great fire pits to enjoy. You can also choose to read a book as the river floats on by. We WILL be back for sure.

Friendly reception, nice room. Baseboard heat and quiet fridge, unlike the hotel where we stayed last visit. THAT place was like sleeping on a factory floor, with window heating unit and fridge alternately roaring loudly to life all night long. Sadly the excellent attached resto (Chatters) which has become our favourite on the çhi is closed because of the pandemic. Next time we hope. As another reviewer noted, time to replace those $10 thermostats - 15 on the stat was actually about 20, phew! The hill by the legion was a bit of a drag strip but with all 3 radar patrol drinking coffee at McD around 11 that's not the hotel's fault.

We have stayed here in the past a few times. It is very economical; road sign said $65 when we eating breakfast last weekend (Stayed elsewhere for the pool which we never went in LOL). It is my go-to for brekkie in the area. Resto is small so come early ;-) Rooms are traditional with each having an outside door. I don't consider a maritime resto civilized unless they offer beans with breakfast btw ;-)
