Perfect way to sneak some education into your kid's vacation!
I was worried the kids were going to find it too "young" for them but I was wrong! They explored ever exhibit and we ended up there for roughly 4hrs. My 9 year old's favourite was the massive frog exhibit with a dome where you can get inside a tank to explore. Much to my surprise the preteen loved watching and learning during the live shows. The trainers are engaging and entertaining. My oldest loved the opportunity to touch live ocean life. There is a restaurant on site, and of course it's pricey, but the food is very good for Cafe food. We went when it first opened on a Thursday thinking it would be pretty quiet. We were wrong! Not sure if this place is ever not busy but it has large open spaces so it didn't feel crammed.

    Great!
It was fun! We had an amazing time looking at the Japanese Sea Nettle and the white jelly fish. It’s so relaxing to be around fishes and water. I only wish they have bigger space and other water animals to add in the future. Overall, we enjoyed the rest of our tour.

    Great tanks on local animals
Nice aquarium. A lot of pinnipeds and really cool how they feature the BC coast. I went on a Tuesday in March at opening. It was very quiet when I arrived but extremely crowded and loud when I left about two hours later.

    Small but beautiful aquarium
Small aquarium with a few animal exhibits and a some aquariums that represent regions around the world. Easy to see everything in 2 hours or so. I get some of the comments about the animal exhibit being hard to see because the viewing areas are very small. Very happy I made the visit, had a great display of tropical fish and sharks!

    Great for adults too!
Lots of fun watching the sea lions and seals be fed! Great exhibits, narine life, and 4D movie...a fun way to spend several hours, even for adults. Love their non-profit mission too.

    Good day out
This aquarium is lovely and well worth exploring if you are in Vancouver. You can catch a bus easily to here and is situated in Stanley Park. There was plenty to see and lovely fish, otters etc. You can hire a cycle from outside and ride around Stanley Park or you can walk around but will take you a few hours.

Particularly enjoyed the sea otters and jellyfish
We really enjoyed the visit to the Aquarium. It was easy to find, entry easy and an interesting visit. Staff talks were interesting and informative. We particularly enjoyed the sea otters and jellyfish. Nice that the mammals were rescued injured creatures being looked after and trained in captivity.

    Perfect on a rainy day
We visited on a rainy day. Most of it was indoors so thats good. Well laid out exhibitions with beautiful animal habitats. Great variety of fish and even saw anaconda, tortoise, cayman croc. Sea otters were absolutely adorable, nice listening to talk about them, but was busy and not enough room to see and stood in rain. Not good signs to show where talks happen though, we waited in wrong area for seal talk so missed start of it. Overall good rainy day activity. Tickets a little pricey (recommend pre purchasing to skip queue) and gift shop v pricey. Easy to get bus 19 to stanley park and walk 5 mins to aquarium.

This is an aquarium that has continued to update itself.
Beautiful exhibits with easy to read explanations. From the fountain at the entrance to the gift shop everything was clean and new. There was a 4-D movie, included in the price of admission, about the lifecycle of a sea turtle that included ocean mist, seat rattling surf, wind, and lightning flashing. Way fun. Lots of children with plenty of interactive experiences.

    Pretty cool visit
The aquarium was really nice. It was clean and had a few cool little exhibits for kids. It is a little cramped and could have used some more exhibits and a few places that had a little more development, but overall a really solid place to take the kids when visiting Vancouver. Best part was a 10 minute touch tank presentation.
