Speaking as an amateur miniaturist - where do I begin? The dioramas are larger than I ever imagined. The attention to the smallest detail is incredible. The topic of the many displays varies from the historic - to cinema productions - to imaginative fantasies. Several are interactive - you can operate H.O. scale trains, vehicles, identify famous castles. City, country, battle scenes are populated with many hundreds of tiny people, each one in detailed period clothing caught in the act of daily life. An absolute MUST SEE. For full effect, allow yourself a couple of hours. I could have spent the entire day there!

We visited with two tween children. The kids loved the displays, which were interesting for sure. It's a bit pricey (like $20CAD for adults), so if you decide to go, make sure you take your time enjoying the displays.

So much bigger and better than I expected. The sign says over 85 displays and most of them were huge. I can't believe how detailed the displays were. Enjoyable for any age. There are moving parts you can start by pressing a button. There are benches for children to stand on to see the exhibits. Well worth the visit.

Cannot believe how cool this place is. Everyone who was visiting while I was there was having as much of a blast as I was. Crazy attention to detail and love went into all of these dioramas. Don’t miss this one if you’re in the area.

We had a very short time in Victoria during our cruise stop, and this was a "must see" that we wanted to visit. Big thank you to the staff for allowing us entrance at the last minute! It was a great place to see; everyone in our group loved it, and we'd recommend it to all ages! The detail of the displays were amazing! Something for everyone of all ages! So glad we got to see this in our brief visit!

Highly highly recommend this place! We went as a family of four with two young kids and had such an amazing time. It’s great for all ages. My kids were entertained as many booths were interactive with buttons to press, and my husband and I were just in awe of how spectacular the displays are. It was educational and you see history unfold as you walk past the booths and see what life looked like in different eras. Then there’s the fantasy / fairy tale sections that were just amazing and worth geeking out on. Many places you go once and call it good with no plans of returning to make time for other touristy spots to visit next time to come back - this wasn’t one of those for us. We fully plan on coming back and taking friends and family with us when we return to Victoria. We can’t wait! This place is a big YES to visit!

I absolutely loved this museum. While not very high tech- it still was worth visiting. The first exhibit was slightly “lame” but then it much improved. I adored the circus miniatures. The castles of Europe exhibit was splendid. So much detail with each and every exhibit.

We absolutely adored this place and our kid loved doing the scavenger hunt that they have included with it. We fondly think of this place often and are so glad it exists and hope to visit it again someday. What a unique little artistic spot.
