A Must-See Attraction In Halifax, NS
We had a brief visit during our walking tour of Halifax, NS and then returned later in the day for a more thorough walk through the park. This is one of the finest gardens we have ever visited, especially considering it is a public garden and not a private botanical garden. We highly recommend visiting it while in Halifax, NS to enjoy the beauty of God's natural creation.

    Lovely area
We walked around this area when we arrived on our cruise ship. The gardens are lovely and worth a visit. There are many different varieties of flowers and there are some areas where they provide the names. We saw many of the locals walking through this area with their children.

    Very Beautiful gardens
We chose this as one of our Hop On Hop Off stops. These were so every beautiful gardens. The variety of trees and flowers was really amazing. This was all kept up well. We were only able to walk around for about 45 minutes but could have easily spent a few hours to see everything here. We were here on a cruise and would definitely say that you should at least get transportation TO the gardens. Walking back (we did) to the cruise terminal is much easier as it is downhill.

I went to the Public Gardens on a Sunday in November and it was still busy and eventful.
The Halifax Public Gardens were full of a variety of flowering plants, bushes, and trees. Obviously, great work was done to keep this garden looking fresh. Even in November, these plants were still relatively colorful. There were also plenty of benches, tables, and chairs in this space. I liked the bridges over the stream, and I enjoyed the many statues throughout the park. There was a gazebo in the center of the park, and there was also a very big lake. It was free admission to enter this space. There was parallel parking on the nearby streets.

    nice walk
It was still a bit cold at end of April, but the flowers such as daffodils were all coming up and very pretty. Its a nice walk with not to many people. There is a soccer stadium close by and you could hear the crowd cheering. Parking the group bus was a bit of a problem because most spots were taken.

Small but very beautiful city park
A lot of different flowers and trees are collected in one place. It’s not that you can walk around here like in some big botanical garden, but it’s not surprising why this place is mentioned in many recommendations for visiting in this city. One thing you need to remember is that the main thing is to come here in the season when everything is already in bloom, because in the cold season it is simply a "desert".

    Rhodos and Azaelias
We went to the Public Gardens in Halifax at the perfect time. The STUNNING rhodos were just approaching full bloom. Same with azaleas and lilacs. The roses haven’t blossomed yet, but they’ll be stunning as well. Great upkeep! Bravo!

Super location for a wander or a picnic.
Great way to spend an hour or so. If the weather is nice, grab a picnic from the close by fast food shops Tim Horton, subway, McDonald's and way more and enjoy it on a bench in the park. Plenty of space, loads of benches, quiet and tranquil, enjoy.

    Beautiful Place for a Stroll
Beautiful place to take a stroll and enjoy the well planned English style gardens. Conveniently located by a hop on/off bus stop, we were able to walk right into the gardens from the bus stop. Easy walking paths throughout the gardens with plenty of benches for those who might require a rest or want time admire the scenery. There is a pond area with some shade where you can watch the ducks. A small cafe on site offers an assessment of treats as well as restrooms on site make this the perfect midday stop!

    Elegant English Style
These beautifully landscaped gardens are fairly close in to the center of town and worth a diversion. Very elegant English style, best seen in warm weather. You can walk around or just sit and rest.
