    An absolute must see
Old Montreal is beautiful, and an absolute must for visitors. We wandered the beautiful stone streets and admired the architecture. There are a number of quaint shops and eateries available, and we stopped for a delicious cheesy crepe (that was served with crisp fresh salad) before exploring Marche Bonecours (a lovely market featuring hand made jewellery and items). Although it was cold when we visited (0 degrees), there are any number of warn cosy cafe to stop in for refreshment. It was a beautiful walk and lovely experience.

    The Nordheimer Brothers
The attachment shows an interesting painting hanging where my tour spent significant time. Likely included in the Industrial Revolution in Canada, The Nordheimer Brothers must have been a part of the equation. They emerged from the piano importing business in Canada to have a building named for them and the attached painting hanging on the wall. Having a predictable appreciation for the piano helps explain my fascination with the attached painting.

    Beautiful City!
My wife and I having been to Paris years ago felt like we were back in time enjoying it again. I believe to truly appreciate the beauty you need to walk Old Montreal and spend a few days. This was our second time here and would go back again. Enjoy we did.

The foundation of our week in Montreal
Thom quickly made a group of strangers from around the world. He seemed very knowledgeable about the history of Montréal, encouraged and responded to questions, and made a complex story eminently digestible. This tour was a highlight of our week in Montréal. I would highly recommend.

    A must see !
Small streets. Shops A maze of restaurants A neighborhood of artisans A very nice atmosphere The riverside, the old port Wheel... It's definitely worth the detour Very nice in the evening also for a drink or dinner as they say here! Pointe-à-Callière Museum. In June 2024 there was also the Cirque du Soleil on the port. Chapel of Our Lady of Good Help, a must-visit. Its entry is also free.

    Old Montreal in March
It snowed when we were there in March which gave Old Montreal a cosy wonderland feeling. A local said it does not snow as much as people think in Montreal so enjoy it while it lasts. There are loads of cafe / restaurants here and the Basilica. For me wandering around the streets in the snow and then warming up in a French style café was the best.

We loved staying in and visiting Old Montreal! We stayed at the Hyatt Centric. The location was great! Tons to see and do within walking distance… Hotel has rooftop pool and bar (after 5). We went with older teenagers and they loved it too!

    Quaint Old Town
Old Town Montreal is a lovely place to visit. Lots of shops, restaurants, and sights to see. We came on the weekend of the Montreal Grand Prix so it was busy. One of the best sights to see in Montreal
