A few days are not enough... to visit Amsterdam you need at least a week. First of all, the museums are worth it... all well organized and really interesting. It should be noted that almost all of them close at 5pm and therefore from the morning to 10am there is never enough time. There are audio guides everywhere... it's a shame that in some museums there is no possibility of choosing Italian among the languages offered. There are museums of all types and I had to make a choice since I was only staying a few days but I would have gladly explored all the options. Wandering around the streets of the city is truly evocative... you figure it's worth your time. Furthermore, the parks are worth experiencing and there are several of them. Furthermore, being in the area it would be nice to be able to experience the province with a trip to the mills of Zaanse Schans, Volendam, Marken, Edam... and then the fortified city and the castle of Muiden. If you visit Amsterdam in spring, consider the park of keukenoff..a wonder of nature. Then there would be the dunes on the west coast with its beaches.. In short, so much to see and learn about... a city that remains in your heart. For convenience, I got the I Amsterdam city card which gave use of internal transport in the center and free entry to many museums and I must say that I made the most of this possibility. I recommend visiting this city for a week if you don't want to leave with the feeling of having missed many things.

It is very nice and impressive building. On the one hand there are collecting sites for the many tour boats in the canals, on the other side there are (free) ferries to cross the river. At the railway station there is access to trains, metro and trams. There are also a host of shops inside. Please note that 1-hour metro/tram ticket is not valid on the train. Here you must buy a separate ticket.

Trip scheduled at the last minute, as the destination was a colony in Germany. In this sense, we are unable to visit what is generally more common, as all tickets for museums and the like must be purchased in advance and online. We went in April, the time for the famous poppies, which makes the city more beautiful. Beautiful city, lots of young people, lots of bikes, lots of smell of "weed 🌿" 🫣 to visit.

Big, ancient, and confusing as it should be a central station! Beautiful from the outside both day and night, it is worth going there even just to take a ride around. The station overlooks a square from which you can admire the Church of St. Nicholas, several streets dedicated to restaurants and shopping and finally from there you walk comfortably to the Nemo museum. Inside you will find everything you need to move in/out of Amsterdam: bus, metro, ferry and of course train stations.

Leave Utrecht for a quick stroll through Amsterdam. It is located in the northern part of the city and is majestic as a cluster of canal-tour boats. Some say that it was built in the late 19th century and was modeled after Tokyo Station because of its red brick exterior, but the design of the details is different. I took a look around on arrival and eventually used it to catch the train to Schiphol, but I had to question its usability as a passenger facility, with its few and very crowded toilets and incomprehensible destination information.

We passed through this big busy train station many times. The Netherlands is famous for excellent public transport, so there are trains everywhere. In Amsterdam they arrive at this big station, which can be very crowded and chaotic. Many of the city trams come here. It is not pretty, but it functions well and is essential.

A visit to Central Station in Amsterdam is an automatic for those traveling to or from the airport by train. We found the train station lovely as well as easy to use the tap to pay method to get to where we wanted to go by train. Amsterdam is very walkable, so once out of the train station, it only takes a few minutes to get out of the hustle and bustle of the city before you're wandering through the quiet canals.

It is said that Tokyo Station was modeled after Amsterdam Central Station, but there are some differences between the two because Amsterdam Central Station is built in the Neo-Gothic style and Tokyo Station in the Victorian style. I think Amsterdam Central Station is more impressive. It takes 15 minutes to get there from Schiphol Airport. It's very convenient. There are many shops on the premises, and there are also several paid toilets. There is a cruise terminal and a tram stop nearby, so it's a very convenient station.

As many Central stations in Europe, this is definitely up on the top. The interior is very simple and the outside architecture is absolutely marvellous. The station holds the classic Amsterdam building structure which gives it that ambient and nice feeling, it is not so clean although there is many transports systems to head to your destination easily.

In addition to housing Amsterdam's central station, the building itself is an architectural beauty. It is spectacular both day and night. As a curiosity, in one tower it has a clock, but in the other, what looks like a seconds hand or something like that, is a weather vane.

Amsterdam’s De Wallen area is home to one of the world’s most famous red light districts. Take a stroll to soak up the rousing yet beautiful lights, or visit the Red Lights Secrets Museum to learn more about Amsterdam’s sex work profession. The district is also known for its trendy coffee shops, bars, and clubs. The best time to see the district is in the early evening or at night, when the lights begin to illuminate the narrow streets. The area is safe, but it can get very busy, and taking photos or videos of workers is illegal. – Tripadvisor
