Beautiful examples of mosaics and wood carvings and tombs. There is a big queue to see the main tombs if you go at peak time so go early or late in the day. The surrounding buildings have been affected by the recent earthquake so there are supports in place. Round the corner is the spice and fabric markets where the spices are a lot cheaper than the main touristy parts.

This is a strange one to review as there is not a huge amount to see, although the one main room with the tombs is incredibly spectacular and so we are very glad we did it. The room has incredibly intricate carvings and patterns that are incredibly beautiful. We recommend going earlier in the day as the queue to this room gets very long, we went mid-morning and queued for 30 minutes but it kept growing as the morning progressed. Aside from the main room there are only a few other areas to see in the courtyard that take no more than 10 mins. Also it is near Bahia palace so is worth pairing with a visit there - Bahia palace is definitely more of a must see than this but it's worth dropping by if you have the time.

The tombs are interesting, but the site isn’t very big and once you get a couple of tour groups inside the complex, you’re facing an uphill struggle to see much. The main chamber, the Chamber of Twelve Pillars, is beautifully decorated, but when I went, people were being shown inside and then ushered out at ten second intervals, so you barely had time to raise your camera, let along appreciate what you were seeing. There are some lovely decorative elements in typical Moroccan style, but I’d advise you to get there when it opens so you can spend a bit longer seeing the best of it.

A nice place definitely but paying 10€ for admission seemed a bit excessive, especially since the visit lasts a maximum of 10-15 minutes and there is not much to see. Very little information about the tombs and there is a long line to see the hall of 12 columns, the main one. I recommend visiting it if you have time but it is not unmissable like other places in the city.

We paid 350 dhm for our family of four - 100dhm for foreigner adults and 50dhm for kids under 13. We decided to pay 100 dhm for a guide to explain the history which made the trip worth our while because he explained more about the architecture and the excavation that took place in 1917. If we didn’t hire him then it would have been boring. There are three areas for the burial of the royal family and the most important section is where the sultan is buried and where you have to queue to have a look at the tombs. We waited for about 30 minutes luckily there wasn’t anyone to usher us in or rush us, which was great. We visited an hour before closing time. All in all a great visit, however if you are pressed for time then I would give this a miss.

Was beautiful inside once we found the entrance. The entrance is listed as opposite a cafe down a little alley way but that’s actually the exit so I wouldn’t trust the articles online. Once inside was very peaceful, but did have to queue for about 30 mins in the sun to see the tombs. Would recommend visiting if you got time.

The tombs were hidden from the world for approximately 200 years and were open to the public in 1917 when they were discovered. The Saadian Tombs are the resting place of approximately 60 members of the Saadi dynasty. There are lavish mausoleums with an additional ~100 tombs in the enclosed gardens. When viewing the King's mausoleum be sure to look up and see the gold ceiling.

Interesting and different from a Christian cemetery. Several rectangles (and squares) covered with enameled stoneware tiles, in bright colors, randomly arranged on the grass. There are also two imposing halls with the same type of graves. That's about it. You need a maximum of 30 minutes for the visit.

The Saadian tombs represent more of a cultural curiosity than an exceptional tourist place that must be visited. Beautiful architecture represented by the classic elements of Moroccan know-how: stucco, zellige and cedar wood. The tombs are arranged in a very original but no less interesting way. The visit takes place fairly quickly. About 30-40 minutes.

Beautiful but small. You can get through entirety in 20-30 minutes. It took us longer as we had to wait in line to see one of the rooms. Suggest getting there early before the crowds so you have more time to enjoy and less time spent waiting.
