It is a temple that appears to be small. But it's very big. When I walked in, I was confused as to why they gave me a handful of incense sticks. That is, there will be many Buddha statues. You can pay homage to any statue as you wish. That is, walking past each point, there were places to pay respects. If it were to be good, it would be great to find information about which Buddha to worship and what to ask for. Each Buddha statue is very beautiful.

It was a memorial week, so there were a lot of visitors and the novices did not hesitate to use sticks to maintain order. Once there, you can see how an old man comes out of a Maibach Mercedes car and kneels like everyone else. + gorgeous monastery, very beautiful + the ability to make a wish and spin the drum + free sticks to burn as an opportunity to participate in Lamaist traditions + you can look very closely at the Buddha statue (do not try to photograph it, novices with sticks may hit you) - a lot of tourists (very) - there is nothing interesting nearby

I wasn’t sure if we would visit this temple, but I’m glad we did. Upon entering the temple grounds there is a sense of calmness even though it was crowded. As we entered each of the five halls through a courtyard, we took the time to light incense and pray, admire the statues and architecture. If you haven’t been to any Buddhist temples before, definitely go and experience.

This is an excellent spot to visit in Beijing. It's very close to the metro station with the same name. It's basically a park with a large buddist temple made of several gorgeous buildings. Hence the visit take tourists one after the other in sequence. Fantastic architectures, it nice to see all these buildings separated by relatively small courts. you will find many people praying and a unique incense smell all across the Temple. I found it amazing to visit at dusk. Remember that there are queues for tickets, it's better to get them online in advance.

One of the Greatest Buddhist temples I have ever been to!!! Especially the religious environment with the smell of sandalwood was something else! Best of all the 18 metres high Future Buddha is a must see!!!!!!

A beautiful temple in the central area of Beijing easily accessible by subway. It is very nice to see the Chinese come here for a prayer and light incense in front of the different Buddha statues that are present at the temple. A place of silence even when there are many people. Bello!

A nostalgic holy temple. Beautiful architecture with explanation about each hall in Mandarin and English. There were temples after temples inside. Really worth a trip there to understand the Buddhist practices of the Royal families of ancient times .

What a spectacular temple with incredible architecture, well preserved and cared for, open for tourists and worshippers alike, there was some free incense at the entrance (although if you burn it you’re praying for those who supplied it - according to our guide). A great place to take some lovely pictures or just to sit and relax. The smell of the wood, fired and incense really added to the experience.

Monastery complex consisting of several temples in succession, in one of which is kept a wooden Buddha of 18 meters. Really suggestive for the atmosphere and the beauty of the architecture: golden friezes on a red background, pitched roofs with typical dragons, the scent of fires rising from the braziers. I recommend going there near the closing (4:30pm) to find less crowd and enjoy the mystical atmosphere.

We visited Lama Temple, officially known as the Yonghe Temple, on a late Thursday morning in December. Lama Temple is the most renowned Tibetan Buddhist temple outside of Tibet, and is considered as the largest and most perfectly preserved lamasery in present day China. This temple has many halls and sits on a large compound. There are many worshippers praying and you can actually see monks chanting in various halls. We also got to see a 18-metre high statue of Maitreya that is carved out of a single piece of white sandalwood in 1750, a Guinness World Record. Worth a visit if you have time.
