The visits were great, the train ride is phenomenal. The onboard staff is very attentive and provides excellent service. Luiz, Jean and Maritza even made presentations and showed us local fashion.

We traveled with the Perurail company to Machu Pichu and it was a wonderful experience. During the return journey they perform a dance show and a parade of local products made of baby alpaca fabrics. The attention and participation of Luis, Jan and Maritza was wonderful. It is very worth it and the journey is very pleasant and entertaining.

Excellent service, attention. Very delicious snacks. The train, beautiful, with unforgettable views. I have to tell you that I cried a lot with emotion at the afternoon show. Francisco B was amazing and helped us on both the bus and the train. We were 3 friends traveling together. He explained the river view we had on the vistdome and the many types of wildlife - hundreds of types of birds for example. Thank you, Francisco!

Took the train to and from AC from Ollantaytambo and it was overall a pretty good experience. The train was a little tight with the fold down table in front. The lineup early am was a little confusing and one of the workers looked at our ticket and told us to get on and then we realized it was the wrong car and she seemed to nod when we got off like she knew that so it was a little odd. The ride back we took the Vistadome which was decent. I didn’t see a lot of difference between the ride there and the ride back on Vistadome. The snack boxes they gave us were just ok - some crackers and cookies and coffee and water, anything else you have to pay for. The fashion show was fun but the prices were pretty high. Music show was entertaining. Train seems to go very slow and stops a lot. We were definitely late leaving AC station and arriving back to town.

I would like to record my praise for the people who made this trip unforgettable, the dancers Antony, Cinthia, Javiera and Roberto. The Perurail company certainly made a difference in our itinerary, the trip to Aguas Calientes was very beautiful... but the return trip to Cusco with the Vistadomo train was incredible. With typical music and dances, joy and excitement took over the train. It was emotional and will forever remain in my memory and in my heart. See you soon!

What a great experience at the Peru Rail Vista Dome! We were helped by Ronal Otazu and he was very attentive and helpful to us during our trip from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes. The train was not full and Ronal helped us by giving us the front seats for a nicer ride! Thank you Ronal for your attention!

Sorry to read that some people found this train journey not good and glad I did not read their reviews before we left for Peru? For us we were excited and so glad the seats were allocated and it was not a free for all as quite busy with other tourists. We boarded in Cuzco for the 3.5 hour journey and felt the guards and stewards were all very efficient and helpful. We were given snacks on board and drink and my husband bought me a prosecco to celebrate our journey. It was fantastic with the Urubamba River running at the side and going through the Andean mountains, absolutely stunning. On coming back from Aguas Calientes the following day I was just excited for the return journey but there was a very noisy family laughing and shouting, and just having great fun. There was dancing and the fashion show and generally a good train ride but it was dark so did not see the fantastic scenery like the day before. Staff came round with the included snacks and drinks but no prosecco to buy? Most of the passengers got off the train at Ollantaytambo so the train was so quiet then. With more than an hour to go to get to Cuzco I asked a stewardess if I could buy a glass of wine or beer and she said she'd get back to me but never did? This was my only complaint as otherwise the train journeys were great.
