from 6pm to 11pm, in theory....because yesterday (any Friday) I went to 3pm and it was active. anyway something I would tell you like the plague in the afternoon, too crowded and too hot (even if it is like February time). In the evening, however, it remains one of the must-see things to do in Dubai, certainly not for absolute merit but according to the colossus that is the background, the Burj Khalifa: the night combination of the exterior lighting of the skyscraper with water jets and Arabic music in the background creates a truly suggestive mix, which in my opinion is also one of the main faces of Dubai. So consider being there at least one night, finding a restaurant that has outdoor seating and enjoying the view (every 30 minutes).

Dubai Fountain – a breathtaking theatre. It is worth looking at several performances because they are different. You could also pay for an extra viewing platform, but people got wet there. I recommend securing the seats at least 40 minutes in advance or not watching the first performance.

Here, after a shopping trip through Dubai Mall, you can have dinner comfortably at one of the many restaurants and enjoy the Fountain's water features in the half-hour rhythm. We stayed on a Saturday night as we were very crowded , but the waiter told us that during the week is significantly less busy . The prices of the restaurants are ok. We were at "Five Guys" where the food tasted very good, but of course everything is geared towards "mass operations". Still a great experience. We also lived Palm Jumeirah and the taxi ride took about 45 minutes, back it was a little shorter.

A must-see in Dubai. I recommend visiting for the fountain light and music show, each day at 6PM. It can get crowded, so make sure to go early to get the best place to take videos and photos!

The Dubai Fountain is absolutely breathtaking! Located right outside the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Mall, it’s a spectacular show of water, light, and music that never fails to impress. The fountains shoot water up to 500 feet in the air, perfectly timed with a variety of songs ranging from classical to contemporary, creating a mesmerizing visual and auditory experience. One thing I would recommend is to get there early to secure a good spot. The viewing area can get crowded, especially in the evenings when the shows take place, and the best views are up close along the waterfront. Arriving a little early will ensure you have a prime spot to enjoy the full show without obstruction. The fountain displays are held multiple times throughout the evening, but the atmosphere is especially magical at night when the lights and colours are fully visible. The entire experience is free to watch, making it accessible for everyone, and it’s an unforgettable way to cap off a day of sightseeing in Dubai.

Really nice and pleasing to watch. A lot of people gather around to watch the show which makes it crowded and difficult to find a spot at the front railing. The duration is small so just focus when it's in full swing

The view was fantastic which is true and with the photos next to this building had the tallest hotel in the world but also one of the world's largest crashes!!! The spectacle was just fantastic. We watched it for hours until at some point we were hungry and sat next to the building to eat. At some point it was overnight and the burch all khalifa was lit up with magnificent colors of all kinds. Something that made me very impressed was where it was next to the skyscraper was the dubai fountain which was literally a lake that performed the choreography of 274 meters in length making it the tallest in the world. I did the Attraction not only with my family but also with my friends that I couldn't put both but still I chose with my family because I think that my friends want to go to places that I didn't want and so we lost plenty of time but nevertheless this Attraction was something magical that you can't describe it if you don't see it first!!! The truth is that there is a bad thing that to climb this building takes around 150€ something that brought us to mind before we climbed!

Our visit to The Dubai Fountain with my family was a mesmerizing experience that left us all in awe. Located right next to the Burj Khalifa and The Dubai Mall, the fountain show felt like the perfect way to cap off our day of exploring the area. As evening fell, we found a great spot near the waterfront, and the anticipation built as more people gathered. When the show started, the synchronized water jets shot up into the sky, moving in perfect harmony with the music. The fountain's graceful movements, combined with vibrant lights, created a truly magical atmosphere. My kids were captivated by the way the water danced in time with the music—it was as if the fountain had come alive. What made the experience even more special was how different each performance felt. We stayed to watch multiple shows, each set to a different song, ranging from classical to contemporary. The variety kept everyone entertained, and the shows were short enough that even my younger children stayed engaged without losing interest. The setting itself, with the Burj Khalifa illuminated in the background, added to the overall spectacle. The combination of Dubai’s modern skyline, the fountain’s beauty, and the vibrant energy of the crowd made for an unforgettable evening. Watching The Dubai Fountain with my family was a highlight of our trip, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Dubai. It’s free, family-friendly, and offers a stunning experience that captures the magic of the city.

This is a fantastic free show every 30 minutes in the evening in front of Dubai Mall and the Burj Khalifa. The fountain show is coordinated with a variety of songs and is spectacular with the water cannons blasting high into the air. It does get very busy on the mall side so worth wandering around to get a good spot. You can enjoy it from an electric abra or floating pontoon for a fee.

The Dubai fountain show in Burj Khalifa is a must see attraction. I’ve been there a couple of times already and I enjoy it everytime. The show runs every 30mins in the evening with different songs/music. It’s best to watch it at night in a lake ride and at the bridge walk.
