Impressive, it leaves you speechless right away. Every inch is worked, statues, fountains, gardens, porches and the interior rich in religiosity. Admission during the day is free and security checks take 10/15 minutes so nothing intolerable. You cannot bring in cellphones that must be left in a locker. You can bring small bags with money and water. In the evening they do a light show and fountains for a fee that given the location I think is fantastic.

The temple is gorgeous, but by the time we finally got to it after going through lines to store our cell phones, then a separate security line and a quick bite, I had had enough. Actually there was security to park the car, too. We walked around the outside of the actual temple which is gorgeous. I just didn’t have it in me after several hours of other sites in Delhi to take off my shoes and socks and climb the steps to see the jewels in the ceiling and a gold statue which you can also see outside. I think the outside is the star of the show anyway. If you have the time, plan on most of a day as it is like a Hindu Disneyland with a boat ride and a movie and lord (Krishna) knows what else. At sunset is a light show at the stepped wells. There may be more for all I know. The food court is good but the restrooms, although fairly clean and modern have water on the floor so your slab can get pretty wet if you are not careful, at least I hope it was just water! .

This wasn't originally on our tour itinerary but we spare time and our guide suggested it as an option for an hour or so. We're so glad we decided to go. Even though this is a fairly new temple complex, you'd never know it when you enter into the temple structure itself with all the intricate carvings and the way the ceilings have been constructed. Some people say in their reviews but that it's not a must see attraction but I'd have to disagree. This temple, in my opinion, is as impressive to look at (especially as the sun sets) as is the Taj Mahal. When you walk inside you are struck with the size of the structure and all the ornate features of the individual rooms and the ceilings. Take as little with you as you can as the security queue can take a while. It's also special in the fact that you can't take photos whilst visiting so you have to hold the images of what you've seen in your head. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Delhi.

The largest Hindu temple in the world. Recently built structure, very strict controls at the entrance, so if you do not want to waste time leave EVERYTHING in the car or at the entrance otherwise do not enter. Free of charge. Better plan it for the early morning otherwise the queue is quite long.

There is strict security. You are not allowed to use any cameras or take pictures. Just bring a bottle of water and some extra coin, please. You must take off your shoes before you may enter. It's a long walk to the main area. Because there is so much information and they can highlight the key points, bring a guide. Use the inside restroom as soon as you arrive, not the outside one, if you need to use one. Very recently constructed. well-cared for.

Modern Swaminarauan Temple very large and very very beautiful. There are many scultures inside, you have to admire the ceilings and the heart of sanctuary is beautiful. All around the temple there is a frieze with 218 elephants carved with scenes of Indian life it is superb, you have to go all around. Everything is very well organized, don't listen to the comments that say it's a long time to leave things and shoes in the locker room it's wrong. One of the most beautiful sights to visit in Delhi.

I visited the Akshardham Temple in Delhi and was awestruck by its grandeur and serenity. This magnificent temple is a testament to India's rich cultural heritage and architectural excellence. The intricate carvings, ornate decorations, and stunning sculptures left me speechless. The temple's sprawling complex, surrounded by lush gardens and water features, creates a peaceful oasis in the midst of bustling Delhi. What struck me most was the temple's attention to detail and commitment to preserving ancient traditions. The exhibitions, displays, and cultural shows were informative, engaging, and showcased India's diversity.Lot of beautiful architectural left you wondering how they might have done. Entry is free but there is light show, exhibition..etc which you need to buy ticket it’s very expensive. The food court is reasonable price. No electronics device are allowed. Photography is strictly prohibited. It’s mainted by private trust.

This peaceful journey offers deep insight into the life of God Swaminarayan. The place is beautifully built, and the sound & light show is a must-see—be sure to check the timing. Note that phones, smartwatches, and even belts are not allowed inside. They enforce this policy strictly, so secure your items in a locker before entering

Akshardham means a divine abode of God (Mandir) and is an eternal place of devotion, purity and peace. Spiritual messages, devotional traditions, avatars and ancient architecture are all part of the makeup as a Hindu mandir. This complex was completed in Nov 2005 after 8000 volunteers spent 300 million hours. This place is magnificently built from intricately carved sandstone and marble and shows a breadth of quality and craftmanship. The open gardens, water bodies and step-well styled courtyard complete the complex. I saw it from afar because, unexpectantly, it was closed the day I planned to visit.

This is a newer temple. There’s not really any history with it. It does have really intricate carvings and everywhere you look. There’s something different. But it just feels like it’s too busy. It also has work being done on the outside so you can’t get a good picture and even if you could, they don’t allow you to take any even from the outside. You have to hire their private photographers there. It’s kind of a rip off.
