We had an extremely positive experience using ILT for our 8-day trip to Costa Rica in October. Even before our trip, we exchanged multiple emails with their customer support and they are very prompt and thorough in their responses. We booked 3 segments - SJO to Uvita (4 hours), Uvita to La Fortuna (7 hours), and La Fortuna back to SJO (3 hours). Booking was very straightforward and prices were on par with other providers. The vans themselves were comfortable and clean. Van 18 was especially nice. Our 3 drivers were Walbert, Cris, and Charlie. All 3 were excellent and we really enjoyed getting to know them. They went above and beyond in making recommendations for our trip and stopping at little-known scenic spots to take a photo of my husband and I. They were happy to stop whenever we wanted to make sure we were happy and having a good experience. I highly recommend buying some of the typical coconut cookies ("tartaras") on the road side if you can! If you're able, I recommend tipping your driver generously as many of them drive several hours both before and after your service depending on your pickup and dropoff locations, so their drive time may be 3x the length of your ride. We (3 couples) used ILT to take us on four segments of travel between places in Costa Rica (San Jose, Jaco area, Monteverde, La Fortuna, and back to San Jose). Two of the days, we extended the drives with stops at attractions like Rio Celeste, Poas Volcano, and the La Paz Waterfall and gardens. From the beginning, the reservations team was very quick, professional, and knowledgeable in making an itinerary for the leg. Then, in all cases, the drivers and the vans were excellent. They were always on time (if not early) and made sure to stop at places to eat or get snacks, take pictures, get groceries, etc. Overall, we all thought their service was great, would highly recommend them, and most importantly, enhanced our visit to Costa Rica as it took the stress out of moving around the country.

Excellent communication and service from start to finish. Visiting Costa Rica for the first time, we weren’t comfortable renting a car and preferred have an experienced driver to take us from our airport hotel in San Jose to La Fortuna. The services and cost were explained with clarity and detail in advance, allowing me to compare ILC to other companies. I was impressed to receive a phone call from an ILC representative when the driver was stuck in traffic to inform us that he would arrive 10-15 minutes late. This call came before his expected arrival, so there was never any question or concern about his being late. David picked us up and was a perfect driver and tour guide, answering all of our questions about the country. Part of the fee included 30 minutes of stops for and or pictures and David surprised us by stopping and opening up a case to reveal a drone. He was able to take video of us with the drone and show the area and all of the beautiful scenery, which he shared with us so we could have a memorable keepsake. Between the communication, the friendly and professional driver and a priority on safety, we had an excellent experience

The company was great! Drivers were nice and friendly + had wifi and drinks in car. Both cars I had were nice inside. The perfect trip after a 5 hour flight- was comfy and rates were comparable to everything in market - would easily recommend!

My wife and I loved traveling with ILT Costa Rica. This was our first trip to Costa Rica. Rather than dealing with a rental car and driving ourselves, we decided to take private shuttles with ILT so we could learn more about the country and focus on seeing the countryside and relaxing. We are so glad we went with ILT. We were picked up at SJO by Miguel, who waited for us 2 hours at the airport due to the massive number of passengers having to clear through Immigration. Miguel then drove us 4 hours to our hotel near La Fortuna, including taking back roads because the major highway out of San Jose was so backed up with traffic. Miguel is fun and smart and we learned so much about Costa Rica from him while seeing the countryside. Three days later, our ILT driver Leandro, safely transported us from La Fortuna to Monteverde through some of the most difficult roads we encountered in Costa Rica, showing us many interesting things along the way. A few days later, we rode with ILT's private shuttle from Monteverde to Quepos with our third driver, Damian. He was easy to talk with about the current attractions in Costa Rica, and took many pictures of us at several locations during the drive. Lastly, we returned from Quepos to SJO with our fourth ILT driver, Walbert, who got us to the airport on time (again using some very scenic back roads to avoid highway backups) while sharing with us his love for Costa Rica's beautiful birds. All of our drivers were punctual, friendly, knowledgeable, and skilled at both giving informal tours and safe driving. The vehicles were comfortable and well maintained, and we were emailed by ILT's back office staff in advance of each segment of our reservation about the upcoming trip. We could not have been happier with the level of service and care we received from ILT Costa Rica. We highly recommend this company if you want to use a private shuttle for getting around in Costa Rica!

We just came back from our one week trip to CR. We were spending time in three different areas, therefore we decided to have all our transfers and transportation done by a company versus renting a car for a group of 10. ILT was FENOMENAL..Pablo helped us from the planning of the trip, pick-ups and drop-offs in different places, excellent communication, assistance, flexibility and very accommodating. During our trip we had to contact them due to a schedule conflict and Katherine went above and beyond to help and communicate with us via a tour guide since we were at an excursion out of WiFi reach . All our drivers were extremely punctual, knowledgeable and made great suggestions. We had a big comfortable van for the 10 of us and our luggage. They always confirm via email your next transfer. I recommend them 100% . Driving to multiple cities can be challenging and it was stress free.

ILT was so amazing with our private transportation needs! I planned this trip for my sister and friends, and our pick up process was seamless. Our driver was waiting at the door when we arrived, and our van had AC, water, and wifi. We were also offered the opportunity to stop at a store to pick up a few items before we arrived at our first apartment. We used the service for our airport transportation, as well as our travel to and from the Jaco Beach area from San Jose. Our driver also stopped on the way to Jaco and took some great photos for us at the signs welcoming us into the city. Part of our group's flight were slightly delayed and we were able to book separate transportation for them later in the evening. I would recommend some sort of discounted rate for adding additional travel when members of our party is delayed, but all in all a very satisfying experience. Thank you!

From the reservation to the front door delivery, I was treated like royalty. I've visited Costa Rica many times but this was the first time I read old magazines. I needed private transport from the airport to Cartago. I had several questions before making the reservation: Do you have drivers that speak English? Will they wait as long as it may take to go through immigration. I've had to wait as long as 2 hours and didn't want the driver to think I wasn't coming? Then my final question was regarding the gratuity - may I charge, use US currency or do I need colones? The email clarifying all questions came back with a quick response! ( The gratuity may not be on a credit card, but US dollars or colones are accepted. ) I was greeted by my driver Roy, he handles all my luggage nearly 200 lbs of luggage and toy was the perfect gentleman. Roy carried my bags to the door not just out of the van. The prices for private transport are all about the same so employees like Roy keep customers like me coming coming back

Our family used ILT Costa Rica to travel to/from the San Jose Airport (Private Shuttle). The driver met us outside of the airport, displaying our last name so he was easy to located. The van was super clean and spacious for our party of 6 people (5 adults and one child, age 4). In addition, there was plenty of room for our luggage and our child's booster seat was easy to secure. On the way to our condo (1.5 hours), our driver told us a little bit about the areas we drove through. On the return trip, our driver arrived a few minutes early so we could load up our luggage. Again, the private shuttle was very clean and spacious. I would highly recommend using ILT Costa Rica for airport transportation. We also booked a roundtrip ILT Costa Rica Private Shuttle to Arenal/LaFortuna Area. The cleanliness and comfort of the van made the 3.5 hour rides (to/from) one of best driving experiences (very windy roads during part of the drive) we have had to that area. Our drivers were also very skilled at navigating these roads! Our driver on the return trip, Charlie, was willing to stop if we needed him to do so. He was also very kind and knowledgeable about the various areas we travelled through along the way. I would highly recommend using ILT Costa Rica if you are planning a site seeing trip. They were very punctual and accommodating!!

ILT seems like a well-run, professional service. We received prompt quotes for two shuttle rides (SJO-Manuel Antonio and Manuel Antonio-Puerto Viejo, and they were better than other prices I saw advertised or requested quotes for. The communication by email was very good. But what impressed me the most was that they were able to accommodate a 36-hour flight delay with no complaint or extra fees. I just kept in touch with them to inform them of our anticipated arrival time (which kept changing), and they kept telling me not to worry, they would be available whenever we arrived. Both drivers we had were polite, courteous, friendly, professional, and very helpful getting my elderly relative in and out of the van. The vans were newish and clean. We were very happy with the service.
