Hotels near Barmouth Beach

For that vintage seaside atmosphere of candy floss and donkey rides, set up your deckchair in the section closest to the town. The Blue Flag beach is never overcrowded and also has trampolines, bouncy castle and pirate ship during the Summer. If you want a quieter space for your picnic and to be closer to the sea, then venture further along the one-mile long promenade perhaps using the land train which runs the length of the promenade.

    Great beach
Great flat & sandy beach. Loads of room. Can park right next to the beach. We went a little further down where the sea is closer even when at low tide. It also happened to have a pub/hotel with a beer garden which was great for a thirst quencher after a day in the waves !

Great for children if you like beaches
Barmouth is stunning but can get very windy. There are Lots of walks and beaches are beautiful. However you need good weather. The town centre is very busy with traffic. Shopping is zilch. No costas or boots chemists here, a few gift shops and cafes. Theres a few pubs which get very busy and all dog friendly. The Barmouth does great food , The Royal does cheap menu with lovely fish and chips. The last Inn is very popular for food. Its great for kids but two nights for adults was enough for us not loads to do

    A pleasant surprise!
I hadn't been to Barmouth beach in around 20 years, and my previous memories were of a somewhat rundown place. However, I decided to revisit with my young family, and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised! The beach is absolutely stunning. It's clean and vast, providing ample space for families to enjoy. We had a wonderful day building sandcastles and playing by the water, and we indulged in some classic arcade games and fish and chips. Parking was a breeze with the PayByPhone app, costing £5.50 for 12 hours. Overall, Barmouth beach exceeded my expectations, and it's a fantastic spot for a family day by the seaside. Highly recommended!

    Lovely afternoon out.
Lovely afternoon out; quite busy, but worth it for lovely views across the bay. Big car park available with very reasonable pricing, but it was incredibly difficult to find a space! Lots of little cafe’s to get food / drinks from, but with quite long queues. Very windy; wrap up warm and wear sensible footwear!

    Good
We were staying in the area and decided to visit the beach. It is a nice beach, goes out for quite a distance. There are dogs on the beach. The area seemed relatively clean and safe. Nice place to visit, will get busy during good weather and peak season.

    Lovely beach
A very lovely beach . Ample parking (pay and display) just behind the beach. Dogs are allowed but only to the left of the beach. There’s a working RNLI station just over the road . It’s very nice here, not as expansive as Harlech but still great with easy access to all the facilities of the town
