Fremont Street with its electronic canopy show, zip lines under the canopy, restaurants, bars and street performers has a lot going on. In downtown or “old” Vegas, we took an Uber from the strip. While the canopy runs continuously, they feature musical light shows on the hour. The pedestrian street has several stages (saw at least 3) for live bands and DJ’s - so the atmosphere was of an open air party. Some of the casinos offered the inexpensive meals at certain times that had lines waiting that old Vegas was historically known for - and the Strip is not. I saw meal deals before 6 pm and after 9 pm. Fremont was a riot of casinos ( like the Golden Nugget) neon, and bars. The street performers ranged from the scantily clad show girls to street dances to a dancing gorilla. Just avoid anyone who wants to take a pic with you and wants a credit card. Keep in mind just because they say you owe them $25 or $40 for a pic doesn’t mean you have to give them that - plus probably better to just give cash if you go the pic route. All in all a fun experience that I was glad we did but would not recommend for families.

Are you looking for a change of scenery? Here is your answer. Unique, spectacular, confusing and very Las Vegas. Wow. Obviously, if you're looking for refinement and luxury, there are plenty of other choices in Vegas. I loved the Golden Nugget Casino. Older, more vintage, more gangster film than those in the strip. We have adored.

It is an free unique experience not to missed. There is great atmosphere once u ignore all the hustling for photos etc. Only there over an hour but enjoyed it. Use the deuce bus to get to and from strip worked out 2dollars each way. Be prepared that the bus frequency is not every 15 min more like every 30 min

Fremont is the best! Go to the ABC store for the cheapest beer to go. Great music, plenty to look at! Don’t get involved with people wanting to “ talk to you” or show you something, say no thx and keep moving. There are a lot of talented performers on stage. The zip line is a reasonable price too! Great music!

Absolutely loved the Fremont Street Experience and seeing the older side of Vegas. It is worth the short Uber/taxi ride from the Strip. The food and drinks are nearly half the price of anything you can get on the Strip as well.

The FSE with it's big screen above is incredible. Nestled in the northern part of Las Vegas and a short ride up on the Deuce bus, it's well worth your time. From really amazing street performers and magicians to live bands, there's something for everyone. We went in January and it was very busy but a little chilly, so we kept nipping into the many shops dotted on the street as well as the classic Fremont and Golden Nugget casinos that you'll have seen countless times in various forms of media. The FSE is literally just down one pedestrianized street, thus free to enter and full of the weird and wonderful characters that give Vegas it's eccentric reputation. It really is one to not miss!

The music was good. Miss having live bands in lieu of DJs but I am sure every night is different. Not Much talent in the circles, more homeless looking for money. Good law enforcement present. Great bar tenders at the "D" casino in Fremont Street.

Fremont Street is so much fun. There is so much to see and do. Even people watching is fun. The casinos are fun and so many bands playing. The Fremont experience is really neat to see. We all love going there.

This seems like a really great way to highlight the old downtown area. Really enjoyed the area and the light show, lots of different places, options, and people. The live music and street performers are a great addition to an already eclectic mix. It does seem outside the general area of the experience it is dark and not as welcoming.

If you’ve never been, take the time to take a wander along the street under the dome and check out the crowds and all the “interesting “ activities any evening of the week. Loud, colourful and entertaining. The videos and scenes on the overhead dome are worth the trip!
