    Cute but Small Aquarium
The aquarium was a little expensive for how tiny the facility was but the exhibits seemed to be well maintained and clean as well as the building itself. The outside seemed in need of a refresh but inside was much nicer than expected. The shows were short but included in the admission cost. The seals are located outside and could use a much bigger tank. Quite sad honestly. Overall it only took us about 2 hours to visit with our toddlers. We would have liked to have stayed for more of the shows but we had already seen all the exhibits and the kids were ready to move on. Overall not bad with little kids, especially if you're looking to kill a couple hours.

    Little pricey for the size
Our young children had a blast. We saw the penguin feed and the sea lion presentation. They loved seeing all of the fish and turtles. However it was $70+ for our family of four to visit for less than 2 hours.

    Small but worthwhile
The Aquarium of Niagara is rather small, but the staff more than makes up for that with their enthusiasm and knowledge. The exhibits were fascinating, especially the penguins. We paid extra for the Penguin Encounter, and it was worth every penny! We got up close and personal with the penguins and learned about their lives both at the aquarium and in the wild. The presenters were amazing. A nice place to visit for a couple of hours.

    Nice, but small.
Nice respite from the heat, very small aquarium. Very unclear how to get in with a stroller or wheelchair, but they did help us leave through accessible exit. Seems a little pricey for not having a whole lot. The elevator to second floor didnt seem to be working so we walked up the stairs with toddler, and one of us stayed with baby in stroller on bottom floor.

    Great Alternative to the Falls
When in Niagara Falls, of course the trip is all about the falls, but the Aquarium is a nice little break from all the falling water. A great time for the kids, an amazing sea lion show. Just an all around great visit.

    Good for a Rainy Day
We came here on a day that it was pouring rain, so it was nice to be inside. There is an adjacent parking lot, but you need to pay at the uncovered kiosk outside and you will need your plate number. It's a nice aquarium and everyone who works there is both helpful and knowledgeable; however, it it very small and general admission is $20. If you have a food stamp card, you can enter for a hugely discounted $3. Our favorite part was the touch tank. You can even pet a small shark. This isn't a must-do in Niagara, but it's a good way to spend an hour or so if your other activities are rained out.

Small Aquarium, but it has Great Staff and some cool aquatic life and shows!
This attraction will take you 45 minutes to walk through, but if you add all the attractions like the Penguin feeding, Seal Feeding, Sea Lion feeding and other shows it will take you up to 2 hours. This aquarium is small, but nice with wonderful staff and character. Worth a rain day visit or if your kids like aquariums and aquatic life.

Don't miss the aquarium! Including the new Great Lakes building - and view behind it
We LOVED the aquarium! It's an easy walk from the hotels on the American side. (And on the way there's an excellent place for breakfast/lunch - Power City). Before we even went in, we spent some time watching the seals which are outside the front door of the aquarium. They are SO cute! Absolutely LOVED them! They do a show with the seals that is worth checking out, too. Then, we got tickets half price because we have a zoo membership in our city. Be sure to ask about that. We visited on a Thursday and it wasn't crazy busy, so that was also nice. Inside, the penguin exhibit is very fun to watch. The sea lions exhibit and show is excellent. The trainer answers questions. We really enjoyed learning more from her about both the seals and the sea lions. They have a nice jellyfish exhibit, too. You can pet small sharks and stingrays in another area. They also have a brand new building highlighting the Great Lakes. Don't miss the view out in back of that building - incredible! Overall, we spent several hours there and would go back again. One thing I would recommend to the aquarium management: As you're a nonprofit, you could make more money to support the aquarium by offering more merchandise in your gift shop. I wouldn't normally say, "Make the gift shop bigger!" - but in this case, I would. Example: I really wanted to buy a t-shirt with one of the adorable seals or penguins on it - but there were very few choices. There were more sweatshirts than Ts. It's summer so most people would probably want to buy a t-shirt. I think you could offer other merchandise, too (fridge magnets, coffee mugs, hats, etc.). Generally when we visit an aquarium, the gift shop is obnoxiously large and crazy - in this case, it needs to be beefed up a bit. Ended up buying a sweatshirt. I would love to give more $$ to support this amazing place but was hoping for more/better choices.

    Membership difficult to purchase
Visited Aug 20th, 2024 and was very disappointed that I could not purchase a membership. We were told to go into the cold hallway and access their website on our phone to make the purchase. After ten minutes we gave up and had to pay regular admission, no contact information on their website to settle this issue. Management needs to review their customer service.
