2nd time to Nashville but would never go on a weekend.
This was our 2nd trip to Nville. Fun trip but noticed the same songs among most bands no matter which venue. The homeless with the signs are even more annoying and why the City does not crack down on this issue and allowing this problem to get worse in a the few years since we've been downtown is surprising. It was so crowded and we were there Mon to Thurs. I would never go on the weekends. No place for kids (at least Vegas has a lot more kid friendly places for kids, Nashville not) Watch for cars while at crossing walks on Broadway because some drivers not paying attention. Fun place to visit for some good music and lively entertainment, just don't go on weekends.

    Worth A Visit!
The third place that we visited on our first full day in Nashville was downtown. Some of it has changed since 1997 but much has not. This is the only place that we had to pay for parking ($25.00 US). That said, it was quite a busy place on a Monday afternoon. We wanted to eat lunch at Hatie B's but there was a long lineup (over an hour) so we chose the Blanco Cocina + Cantina restaurant instead. We ate at Hatie B's the next day at one of their other locations.

Nashville the best city in the world
The main street, which has the Hard Rock Cafe, in the center. It's all there. The classic “Honky Tonk” bars, good restaurants like the Olé Red and museums. These bars are my passion, as Country music lover, has great artists all day playing for free, almost 24 hs. The WILD HORSE SALOON is nearby and worth a visit. But one of my favorite things is to visit the restaurants and bars near Vanderbuilt University. That's a tip of who lived there. Who knows well. It has the most sophisticated and charming places near the Vanderbuilt. You can googled it. Besides, everybody thinks, by being the Country Music Capital, that Nashville only has Country. There it is like New York, has the best boats for ALL music tastes and audiences. Just look. 🥰

Love the city and it's night life.
great restaurants great bars great nightlife and fabulous natives. Was extremely disappointed by the taxi industry in Nashville and it reflect poorly on the city by day 2 of my 5 day visit i would not use their service. None would use their meters and offer a flat rate ranging from 45 to 58 dollars (for what should have been a 30.00 fair) and suggesting that you must tip well being extremely arrogant and dogmatic in there approach and taking visitors for dummies.

You'll find yourself saying "Just ONE MORE"!
I don't think you can visit Nashville without going onto Broadway and the side streets and not hopping into at least one Honky-tonk. Once you step into one you will become emersed into the music the flowing drinks and the livelihood of the locals and the visitors there for a good time. Then that "just one" attitude of either a drink or bar situation will be throw out the window and it will become....... "JUST ONE MORE" and one bar will become hopping through (or crawling) to multiple ones down the strip LOL!

    Welcome to Nashville
The strip had to be visited late afternoon, tea time into the night. Very busy busy busy, every bar has a window with bands, groups, solo singers, music coming out of establishments left right and centre. Some more famous Honky Tonk bars you are expected to queue and pay on entry (obviously) but still can lead to an expensive evening if you have not budgeted for this because once you get in the groove there’s no stopping you. Not very impressed with some musicians suggesting a minimum TIP of 20dollars, for a request or put in my tip bucket please, it will go a long way? Every bar has a band and they ALL have a tip bucket…just saying…be prepared, if you’ve been out all day/night on a “session” you get caught up in the moment and that could turn out to e a very expensive visit to the STRIP, welcome to Nashville!!

    Love it!
Downtown Nashville sure has changed since I lived there. I always loved Nashville and enjoyed going to downtown. There is still great live music everywhere you turn. It’s a bit crowded on the weekends, but it’s totally worth it. I suggest taking an Uber instead of a car. Parking is very expensive and was hard to find when we visited.

    nashville 2024
Nashville, after Memphis and New Orleans a new city with a bustling street. Arrived on Monday from Austin and on Wednesday evening back via Atlanta to the Netherlands. airport is less than 20 min from downtown nashville, holiday inn downtown was unfortunately not downtown but uber is the magic word and solution. Straight to broadway, live music everywhere and looks a lot like Memphis only with country music. Honestly after half a day we had something like this is all. Did tour with E’s bronco tour and Ed is former bouncer who shows you the city differently and opens your eyes right away that Broadway is not Nashville. Opry house tour must do just like hall of fame country. Tennessee museum also really worth it. Ice hockey done (very cold inside) and still remains great.

If you Love Country Nashville is the Perfect Choice
Nashville, Tennessee is the quintessential country music destination. As a self-proclaimed lover of the city, I've barely scratched the surface, but already feel immersed in its vibrant culture. For fans of country music and Southern cuisine, Nashville is truly the place to be, boasting celebrity-owned bars and restaurants like those of Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan. Beyond the honky-tonks, the city offers a wealth of museums and parks that showcase its rich history and scenic beauty. Visitors can also explore the downtown area on party buses or truck pulls that provide guided tours. There is an abundance of sights and activities to discover in this lively Tennessee capital.

  • Ryman Auditorium Hotels
When you walk through the doors of historic Ryman Auditorium, one thing becomes clear right away: this isn’t just another nightly music venue, and it’s so much more than a daytime tourist stop. This place is hallowed ground. This is the exact spot where bluegrass was born—where Johnny Cash met June Carter, where souls were saved and a slice of history was nearly lost. It was right here that country music found an audience beyond its own back porch, and countless careers took off as deals were signed on napkins and paper scraps backstage. Open daily for tours and shows, right in the heart of Music City.
