I have studied yoga and eastern philosophy for 30+ years, and I currently live full-time at Amma's ashram in India. I am selective about where I attend retreats - I avoid hipster yoga that focuses externally on physical appearance or other ego based identifications. Hridaya is a truly authentic center with depth and sincerity. The teachers and staff at Hridaya are "walking the path" in terms of living and embodying the teachings. The experiences and teachings have been monumental for my spiritual growth, and to calm my mind and find peace within. The facilities are also well run, thank you to the staff! It's incredible how there are places and people that have always been waiting for us. I did a 3-day retreat and on the 1st day I thought it would be too little and that I should have taken the 10 day retreat, however on the 3rd day in the morning meditation in the middle of the meditation I received a sensation of love so immeasurable and wonderful that It made me understand all the teachings received in the retreat and many things in general, I understood why the answer to everything is love, one thing is to know it, another is to feel it and be certain, so God's timing is perfect, I still recommend taking the out of 10. Infinite thanks to the teachers, classmates and the place that made this experience possible that I still feel in me. Thanks to the silence that made me listen. They will remain in the middle of my chest a little finger to the right. Namaste 🙏🏻

The online retreat with Sahajananda (Dec 5,6,7) was an excellent experience for me. I chose to augment the daily schedule with additional time meditating, to extend it to 8 hours a day. I found Sahajananda's talks both profound and a beautiful synthesis of ideas from the Upanishads, Advaita Vedanta, Tantra yoga and Shaivism as well as weaving in Sufi poets, Christian mystics to provide insights into a truly mystical path - that i've been on for a couple decades. I was particularly impressed with Sahajananda's approach to practicing Yoga that reflected it's true meaning and importance as a spiritual energy practice. I will recommend Hridaya to all the younger folk i meet who want to learn about yoga and meditation in a Hindu tradition from a master. Namaste, Peter

The 10-day meditation and silence retreat was a truly wonderful experience. It is a unique opportunity to meet you and be with you with no escape. The teachers I had (Spanda and Janka) were truly excellent, they did an extraordinary job guiding the retreat and sharing seriously and from the heart, with a sweetness that reaches you to the core. The retreat program was wonderful, concise and to the point of what was truly important, even though I am a critical person with extensive experience on the spiritual path. They are doing a great job! It is suitable for all types of people, both for experienced beings in the spiritual world (to whom it will undoubtedly bring a lot of clarity and focus) and for beginners. Studying in Hridaya Yoga has brought me to a next level in my spiritual path. I stayed in a shared dorm, with all meals included. Food is delicious and abundant, and all the facilities are very clean and have everything you need to enjoy the time in the school.
