Quick Stop to honor a patriot
The road sign was all it took for us to make a slight detour from Gillette Castle to see the schoolhouse and salute a patriot. The quiet hilltop location, high above the Connecticut River also speaks of the famous Charter Oak tree that still stands on this site.
