Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
It's a great place to be, so nice and quiet just a few minutes from the hustle bustle of downtown Toronto. Unfortunately it was closed for most of the summer because of flooding, we could go only once this year.
Celebrating 100 years of NHL, excellent memorabilia from mainly NHL hockey players, but a good selection from International hockey too. Some WHA and other hockey leagues shown. Interactive exhibits are fun not just for kids! Take the time to see everything, watch the movies, sit in the Montreal dressing room and soak up the history.
Great place to unwind and spend a couple of hours, lots of walks, gardens, beach, activities for children, and a few places to eat and drink. Local ferry takes less than 10 minutes and cost less than8$., with regular service to and fro.
Not enough unworn foodie words to describe the delight of my whole taste experience here. I had the Durham Bull to drink, heritage pork, local fresh carrot salad, and chocolate with cherry sorbet for dessert. But that doesn't help describe how artful all these dishes were, or how welcome I was made to feel stopping in alone on a Friday...
I was introduced to stir fried morning glory on a holiday trip to Thailand and have been craving it for six months - thrilled to find it on the menu here! And the Thai chicken wings were delicious gingery snacks. All the snacks dishes we ordered were delicious. I could make a meal of the appetizers.

"MUST LIKE ROSE WATER"
reviewed yesterday by queenbee416
Though not explicitly stated, many of the dishes are subtly flavoured with rose water. While others would graciously accept the infusion of rose water in any dish, I am not a fan. That being said, everything else was excellent.
SERVICE: Our server was very knowledgeable and provided many suggestions.
ATMOSPHERE: Hip, trendy, vibrant. Love the personal booths.
Located on the 54th floor of the CN tower Canoe Restaurant & Bar is a must.
We visited as pert of our honeymoon. The prices were fairly steep be well worth it as a treat. The service was efficient and polite and each course is explained by the server.
There is a tasting menu and also some of those items...
Had a delicious time sampling oysters from multiple coasts, with some mussels and wine thrown in the mix. Fun for group food sharing. Loud, fun 80s music kept the mood upbeat. When MJ came in everyone in the Lobby was bobbing their head and singing. Fun dinner venue for friends.
We stayed 2 night in the hotel with my family of 5 (children ages: 12, 17, 19). The hotel is located in the center of Toronto down town very close to the city halls (old and new). The room are modern, clean, cozy and well equipped with many luxuries. We had 2 toilets and a very spacious bathroom. The beds...
We decided to splurge a little on our Toronto accomodation by booking Hotel Le Germain Maple leaf Square and are we glad we did! The hotel is located near the harbourfront and is an easy walk to City Hall/Eaton Square as well as St Lawrence Market etc. The hotel itself is a very modern building, right next to the Air...
I stay at this hotel frequently and it is one of my favorite Ritz Carton properties. I always come here with high expectations and somehow they continue to exceed. The hotel has one of my favorite club lounges with stable staff we recognize and are happy to see. Check-in up in the club is painless. The club lounge presentations are...
We are so happy to have stayed here this weekend; I've stayed at a few other hotels in Toronto which were always just average for a huge price tag, This place was gorgeous- our room was so clean and modern with a beautiful view of the train station and the skyscrapers. We had a corner unit so we had full...
To stay at SoHo Metropolitan hotel was outstanding. Great accomodations, perfect service and quality food were constant in this unique hotel experience. However expensive it is, the place is highly recommended.
