We reached Montreal’s old town, Vieux-Montreal. Driving through the narrow cobblestone streets with pedestrians, spotted with Victorian lamp posts, accompanied by horse-drawn carriages transported us into a different world, but driving through these narrow roads was bit uncomfortable. Once Montreal’s financial hub, Vieux-Montreal is now home to hotels, restaurants, pavement cafes and art galleries.
How did these Scottish cobblestones came...
A little pricey ($27 per person no discounts ever) but submissive art is definitely the way to go!
Regular art feels too boring now:)
The one in Paris was cheaper, better music, longer, had 2 other exhibits and more benches.
Still didn't stop me from retrning a sercond time to immerse in the show here in Mtl...
The Van Gogh exhibition "Imagine Van Gogh" is amazing - you may be familiar with
his images, but the total environment of images, music and sheer scale will have you
wanting to dive into the cornfields on one of the walls! Amazing.
The "other" side of the Arsenal is a constantly changing exhibition of works from the
owners' private collection...
This is one of my favorite galleries I like to visit when I'm in the city. They always surprise me with great exhibitions and amazing renowed Canadian artists. Definitively a must see place in Montréal.
We just got here after lunchtime. We had a nice table next to the window. The waitress was very friendly. We ordered a nice can of sangria. Together with some bread, brie + honey.
I really liked the vibe. They showed sports on the large TV-screens, the place is spacious. Washroom was clean. And the dinnermenu looked great.

I LOVE this little place! Chez Sophie is pretty quiet, small which makes it have an intimate atmosphere.
We ordered the tasting menu for 85$ which includes 1 appetizer,2 main course and a dessert (anything from the menu).
After ordering, the waiter brought us some bread and some sort of Salami. They also gave us a amuse bouche which was...
veggies good but not hot
brisket sandwich dry and not that tasty
brisket burnt ends very good
five napkin burger good
both desserts (brownie with bacon and buttermilk pie, both a la mode) very good
service good but brought the wrong dessert initially but didn't charge for either!
An unexpected little jewel with fabulous food and quick service. The menu is well made with just enough dishes to give you a good choice but not so many to confuse and confound.
The menu reflects Mediterranean influence, Arabic and Indian especially with the flatbreads and use of coriander and ginger. And there are enough vegetarian dishes to keep you...
Three start hotel at a great price in a beautiful part of Montreal. Close to the highway, waterfront and some great restaurants and bars including Monette and Gas Bar.
Clean, well kept, modern, and great service in English and French.
Close proximity to downtown Montreal.
