Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
My daughter asked me to take her and I wasn't too excited - how cool can a Barbie expo be? Well, it was awesome. It super well done and they go all the way to depict all the possible barbies. My favorites were the fashion show and the Movies characters. I ended up having so much fun!
A bit confusing as entrance is actually across the street from where the museum is (a complex linked in the basement). Large variety of art of all culture and generation including Canadian and First Nations display which were nice. Didn't see too many painting by the great masters. Well laid out with lots of seating.
"Not so big, but appropriate public transportation"
reviewed 3 days ago by Navid A
There are only 4 lines. But is very on time. It is good that the mobiles have signal underground in metro. Unfortunately in the stairs some places is dirty and mess. But Generally speaking, the overall metro is acceptable public transportation system.
Having read other reviews we skipped a first course , eight “ amuse bouche “ came , all interesting , dessert was another selection of small dishes , all well prepared and delicious , service excellent and all in all a lovely meal and in my opinion reasonably priced for the standard ( you would pay 50% more or a...
My wife and I just returned from a brief visit to the beautiful city of Montreal. And no visit would be complete without having dinner at Bis. Bis is a wonderful Italian restaurant centrally located in downtown Montreal. Our meal as always was fantastic. My wife had spaghetti carbonara and I had beef short ribs. Both were exquisite. Service as...
We came here after we saw on Tripadvisor that this was number one pizza in Montreal.
We ordered a 4 formaggi pizza that was amazing! Very very good!
A very fresh Salad that we loved.
Dulce de leche cheesecake was very nice.
Of course we will repeat soon ;)
We were looking for an alternative to all the steak we were eating in old Montreal, and boy, we weren’t disappointed. We ordered the deep fried snapper and let’s just say, there was no leftovers! Modern decor in old Montreal was exactly what we needed to finish the day.
Service from the hotel was perfect from beginning to end. Attention to detail and care was exemplary from the moment I arrived. Front Desk was informative, bellhop took the time to explain all the features of the hotel (automatic blinds, toilet/bidet, location of items, light switches...etc). Rooms were comfortably large and well appointed, quiet!!!
Many many thanks for an enjoyable...

Very nice hotel with attentive and excellent staff in all areas. I particularly found the text option very useful when I needed something. The response time was almost immediate and my request was filled very quickly.
My concern , groundless as it turned out, was that this hotel would lean towards the long term stay aspect and hence be a bit spartan but this was not the case. The property presented very well indeed from lobby to rooms. Particular strengths are location, room size including bathroom that leaves other hotels in the dust and overall great...
This is an amazing hotel with great architecture as it has an old mansion as the entrance, bar and restaurant. There is a lot of restaurants and stores nearby and its location is a walk distance from Old Montreal and Central Station. The room was perfect and the staff was very friendly.
