The tree-lined Canal Saint-Martin is the focal point of one of the most romantic and hip areas of Paris. Watch boats travel along the canal while lovers and friends take in the atmosphere from the banks or the bridges. Evenings see hoards fill the embankments to drink wine and enjoy good company. The colder days lead people to hipster bars, cozy restaurants, and concert spaces. Those who are more adventurous may explore hidden gems down nearby streets, from local bars to futuristic architecture. With its enriching mix of people of all ages and backgrounds, this neighbourhood has a dynamic, inspiring vibe.
Well you can definitely find a better place for a picknic in beautiful Paris. There are a lot of junkies chilling around, looking for any chance to get better :-) Anyway the italian restaurant by the river was great and the Caesar salad was very tasty. Cheers.

We went to see the Ray Metzker exhibition at Les Douches. It is wholly unexpected - on the first floor of a building in a residential street just away from the main roads. You have to buzz to be let in and to our surprise, it appeared to be free. It is a very relaxed space with sofas and space...
Tasty American style BBQ grilled food. My wife and I shared beef tacos for entree and got the beef and pork ribs for mains with side of thick cut chips and bean salad that was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend as an alternative place to eat if your after something different to traditional French food.
From the moment I walked in it felt like a fun place. The owner is hustling all over the restaurant, making each table feel welcome.
I had an Argentine steak, which was cooked very well. It was a big portion as well.
A good sized bar with great cocktails plus wine and beer if that's your choosing.
"Amazing breads and pastries ~ among the best in Paris!"

Not a typical Parisian boulangerie! Many artisan breads and pastries that you won't find in an ordinary boulangerie. This place has won several awards and when you take your first bite of one of their delicious breads and/or pastries - you will know why! A small corner shop near the Canal St. Martin.
In my 2 weeks in Paris, I ate in dozens of restaurants around the city and this without a doubt the best place to eat. First of all prices are reasonable, not too expensive and not cheap either but for the quality of Food you get this is the most excellent value I can name in Paris! It's not a...
Venue name: L’Auberge Pyrénées Cévennes
We dined with two friends on Monday night and we're not disappointed. Tables are well placed and there is space between them to allow for private conversations - somewhat unusual in Paris. We were warmly welcomed and all questions regarding the menu were explained. This restaurant specialises in Lyonnaise cuisine which we very much enjoyed....
"Nice atmosphere, great facilities and perfect restaurant!"

Amazing atmosphere, feels really French when you are in the room with the warm colors and the old style windows. Nice details were the coffee machine in the room, great quality shower and shower supplies. Very comfy bed, little desk, alarm with radio and iPhone docking, it fels like everything you needed was there. Big plus is also the great...
While I didn't actually stay at the hotel, I stopped in for a coffee after doing the Airbnb audio tour made by the owner, Sophie. She suggests stopping in and I took her advice and was very glad that I did so. I was greeted by Laur (sorry if spelled incorrectly) and she offered me to have a seat and...
Visited Paris for business. Hotel in a good location, clean rooms with all comforts, toiletries etc.
Very attentive and friendly staff. Coffee/tea available in lounge area all day long, pleasant breakfast.
I stayed here last month with a travel group. When we arrived, the hotel elevator was broken, but the hotel went out of its way to make sure we had help carrying our luggage upstairs. Their bellhop Jean-Baptiste was incredible - he hoisted each suitcase over his head and marched up and down the stairs with a smile on his...
The hotel is clean and well presented and has a great central location for exploring Paris. It is footsteps away from the subway, close to endless bars and restaurants and close enough to walk to many of the main attractions. Would recommend and would visit again
