Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
Go to Barcelona to see the gifts of Gaudi. Palau Guell is particularly lovely. We were working in Barcelona for 3 months when our grand daughter came to pick out a wedding dress at the flag ship store--and a beautiful dress it was! We decided to show her some of the astounding work of Gaudi and one afternoon visited this...

I enjoyed visiting this old hospital. It was strange as I originally has not wanted to visit but on the insistence of a family memory, I relented.
I was glad afterwards as it was an amazing place to visit. It has some nice gardens and shows how a patient could relax during his phase of recuperation.
Well worth a visit.
My wife and I had a short stop off in Barcelona whilst on a TUI cruiser and enjoyed the visit. Whilst exploring we stumbled on this amazingly beautiful church. 3 Euros to get in and well worth the money. A fully working church with lovely architecture.
The building housing this superb has been brilliantly restored from an old factory. Great if only for the building!! The collectuion this time was a little gruesome for my interests but nevertheless was perfectly displayed. An excellent gallery in all respects even the black rooms. Needs toi be visited when possible to catch the changes. The cafe / restaurant was extremely...
Booked after reading amazing reviews and wasn't disappointed. The stand-out element of this restaurant was the service.
Our waiter was so attentive, helpful and personabl throughout the meal. The food came out very quickly and we were very well looked after.
The food itself was exceptional. The octopus leg was delicious - really memorable and a must try - but...
The food was delicious. We ordered 6 different dishes and all were delicious. The staff did not encourage you to over order, and we ended up ordering more food than they suggested. The restaurant is very small and we got there when they opened at 7 pm.

"A memorable dinner"
reviewed 3 days ago by REALfoodie711
We dined here a few weeks ago but didn’t have a chance to review until now. Even with time passing since, this was one of our favourite dining experiences in Spain. Top 2 (with Cañete...for different reasons) in Barcelona, without question.
The room grew very busy mid-way through our dinner and the teamwork by the two owners (the only two...
We stayed at the casa camper hotel for 2 nights and really recommend it!
The hotel focuses on experience and it shows with their attention to detail (especially on the smaller things).
- The staff were very polite and always helpful from the moment we walked in. Alicia, Valentina, Patricia and Enrique looked after us and were lovely! The introduction...
"Great location, sound proof, 360 view of the entire city and a decent sized pool"

The hotel bed and rooms are amazing, the mini bar is also great & reasonably priced.
Loved the pool deck area, however difficult to get a sun bed or lounge and with little help from staff. The food options on the pool deck are very limited and the service is not the greatest, you literally have to go up to...
Hubby & I stayed five nights, hotel very clean & tidy & daily full room service & great selection for breakfast. Great location to public transport, shops, restaurants, basically everything! Would definitely stay again & would recommend to anyone
Location of this hotel is excellent - 5mins walk to Placa Catalunya and Las Ramblas. Aerobus stop a few hundred yards away at Placa Universitat (penultimate stop) or carry on to Placa Catalunya which is the last stop. Staff really friendly and helpful. Rooftop pool and terrace bar a great place to relax/cool down after sightseeing. Room very comfortable and...
This is a great boutique hotel - the decor is classy, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and it is in a great location from which the centre of Barcelona, and the Gothic Quarter can be explored on foot. The roon air conditioning is also good, which is essential in Barcelona in August!
