The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighbourhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
This was my favorite place in Barcelona. I'm glad I opted for the audio tour which allowed me to really understand what I was viewing. An amazing place - don't rush thru it. Plan to spend a little time here to really take in its magnificence.
We booked the 9:30 show to see some authentic flamenco dancing. The ticket included an assigned seat and a free drink - we ordered Sangria.(fantastico).
We reserved the ticket 4 hours before the show started and were in the 4th row, the last row, but the cozy environment made you feel close.
As soon as you walk in you feel...
Really pulled together a huge collection of work around the theme and set that out comfortably in a nicely proportioned space in an interesting building. It was quiet and relaxing in contrast to the Picasso museum just around the corner which is great but busy.
What a great ethnology museum. Really the best-of-the-best from all over the world. I believe it exceed the Chicago Field Museum in ethnology. We saw things in this museum never seen anywhere else. Across the street from the Picasso museum.
We went to this churreria for breakfast - churros with chocolate. I could get used to that. It was amazing, very local. Seeing this old man, doing what he's best at was an inspiring experience. Thank you.

"The best bar in Barcelona!"

I went with my friends to Pura Vida and I was amazed by the coctails they served us. They are using high quality alcohol and ingrediants and it makes the coctails special. I have tried coconut Mojito with chilli flavour, Long Island, Piña Colada, Sangria de Cava, Caipirña and I had also some caramel vodka chupitos and the most important...

"Excellent Pizza and Pizza Oil"
reviewed 3 days ago by LAFoodandTravelBuffs
We had a late dinner here on Sunday night and the pizza was great. We dined in the restaurant at the counter. After trying 3 different slices, we chose the porcini pizza as our favourite although all were so good. If we had more time, we would return. Great find at 2.5 euros per generous slice.
Montiel offers the best of both worlds with innovative farm fresh, healthy and delicious food with extremely friendly service. The co-owners are happy to answer any questions you might have. I have also never been to a restaurant that is more accommodating to restrictive diets. They made my duck and pear ravioli with almond milk instead of regular milk which...
Great location, great breakfast, great rooms and the friendliest staff I have ever experienced! Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend! The lounge bar on the roof where breakfast is also served is such a bonus, lovely views and so relaxing!
"Fabulous hotel, in great location with great staff!"

This has to be one of the best hotels I've stayed in, decor very funky, beds comfy, brilliant location we walked everywhere from here. Roof top pool and lounge area awesome view of the city, sadly only 8 lounge beds but other seats until 1 comes available. The only downside was the snacks are prepackaged so a bit disappointing however...
This place was amazing!!! The rooftop pool was so relaxing after all the sightseeing. They had a bar up on the roof as well. From 6:30 to 7:30pm they do a wine hour and is free to hotel guests as much wine as you want. They have free laundry, bikes you can take out, and a wifi device you can...
Returned this year after a great stay at the Grand in 2015 - it was even better than the first time. The staff - particularly front desk/concierge, restaurant and Sandra (Wellness Manager) - are top notch and generous with their time & ability to help out. The rooms are spotless, as are the rooftop pool, bar amenities; the view is...
Nice clean hotel. Rooms are a decent size. It is in a great location 20.mims from the beach, the tour bus stop is right outside the hotel lots of shops and bars around. My only negative is the lack of choice at breakfast. Only scrambled eggs, beans, bacon & tomato. If youre there for a while that becomes boring. Even cereals...
