"Monument to Emilio Castelar"
reviewed April 11, 2019 by macedonboy
This monument stands in tribute to Emilio Castelar, a Spanish politician, and president of the First Spanish Republic. Not only was he a national leader, he was a noted writer and journalist and left a legacy in print of political science such as a history of the Republican Movement in Europe amongst other works.
The monument features a stone base...
I made a trip just to see the sculptures as a fan of modern art. Fascinating to see big names together in a public setting. I enjoyed a lot also because it was sunny and the walk was pleasant. Spent there 15 min max. And there is no description to the works , which would be good to have giving...

"Excellent price/quality and great attention"

We were served by Jota, who dis an excellent job. The quality of the food is good and price/quality I doubt whether you would find better. We had the tasting menu for €33, which was more than sufficient.
Best fusion in madrid Been living in madrid for over 30 years. I travel the world on business and Ronda 14 is as close as you get to the real fusion Peruvian. Try the leche de tigre! Out of this world. Been here 5 times over the last 6 months and the food and service is always great. Hats off...
This is a very nice restaurant at the top of Calle de Serrano. It is a walking distance from the US Embassy and many hotels in the area. The food was delicious and the wait staff was very nice and spoke English well enough.
Eating there twice during my week long trip to Madrid, i enjoyed both meals very much. Good quality, meeting a degree of authenticity and without giving in to local flavours and demands. Popadoms were good as were the accompanying sauces and they provided some mixed vegetable atchar on request to go with the popadoms. The butter chicken was excellent and...
Nice little hotel. Clean and comfortable. Bathrooms are very nice. King size bed.
Rooms are clean but a little small.
Breakfast is far too expensive at €27 pp.
Little bar in reception is nice also.
A little bit strange that there is a strip club next door but you would barely notice..
True 5 Star Hotel, but not pretentious. Well-appointed, comfortable guest rooms. Convenient location with easy walking to museums and palace. Very good food with superb, friendly staff. Nice bar and casual lounge and casual lounge area. Combination business/leisure weekend
We moved to this hotel from another one in the Centro, after deciding to extend the trip and explore a new neighborhood, and couldn't have been more delighted. 1 bedroom apt was perfect for traveling with 2 teenagers, who shared the sofa bed. Apartment was very clean, modern, and the kitchen stocked with fruit, juice, milk, muffins, cookies, even lunch...
I have stayed in many hotels in Madrid, and NH is always a guarantee of cleanliness and convenience. This one is perfectly located in the heart of the Salamanca borough, close to the American embassy and the Serrano street. In comparison to other NH hotels: (a) location in better than Zurbanos's and Principe de Vergara's, (b) room is worse than...
Nice hotel in a central location, the breakfast buffet was better then average and the rooms were as expected for a 4 star hotel so would go back again. Nice touch was a little present when you have your birthday in your room
