Chueca is the hip, gay neighbourhood of Madrid where many of the streets are narrow and intimate, but where the hustle and bustle and the eclectic storefronts and people give it a distinctly urban feel. The main thoroughfare is Calle Hortaleza and the main square is Plaza Chueca, completely filled with terraza tables serving copas (mixed drinks) during summer. A mixture of trendy and grungy, some of the adult businesses here are explicitly racy in their signage. From the rainbow flags to the signs above the entrances of its many funky bars, to the date spot restaurants, Chueca is a vibrant and colorful place. It's always interesting to explore the different corners of Chueca by day, and by night, the area becomes a major nightlife destination when the clubs open their doors.
Always an interesting exhibition. Well curated, with audioguides. just big enough to satisfy your interest. it used to be free, but it is still excellent for 3 euros. worth checking what is on. The shop is also good.
The Metropolis lies at the foot of Gran Via and is a wonderful looking building. It's contrasting black and white colours complete with it's gold dome on top and intricate white pillars and figurines make it well worth viewing.
We were delighted that we were able to make a booking for lunch six weeks before our visit. We had telephone calls and emails confirming our visit. We had an excellent flight of 17 courses with wine pairing. Service was excellent, even when the restaurant (kitchen and wait staff) was at capacity. The start of the experience is in the...
We were looking for something different while in Madrid and love Peruvian food so chose this small but busy new restaurant (open for about 10 months). Service was great from start to finish. The ceviche, lamb and noodles with prawns were all excellent. Prices were very reasonable. We would definitely recommend this and would go back if in Madrid again.
This restaurant is recommended for many things- small and cozy, easy to find, excellent food.
You need to book in advance and the menu is both tapas for share or a course.
You might talk to the guests at the table next to you - we found it a very nice atmosphere and David and Luis take good care of...

Didn't use the lunch and dinner facility.
