Named after its London namesake, the suburb of Paddington showcases streets lined with restored Victorian terrace houses with very distinctive features, like high ceilings and cast-iron balconies. It is home to some of Sydney’s most prestigious art galleries, including the Wagner Art Gallery and the Butler Good Gallery, as well as the tourist attraction, Paddington Markets, located in the grounds surrounding the Paddington Uniting Church and Paddington Public School. Paddington is a hub for high-end shopping featuring famous contemporary Australian designers, as well as up-market spas. Foodies are drawn to Paddington for well-known Australian chefs, modern and traditional Italian food, fantastic coffee, passionate brewers and even handmade chocolates.
Lovely area made out of an old water reservoir.. beautifully landscaped, with seating and areas that are perfect for photos..in fact there was a bride and groom having photos in there..peaceful and surprising..take the time to walk down the steps for a good look..there’s a lot for prams and wheelchairs.
I stumbled across this little gem a few years ago. By far the best spot to go kayaking from in Sydney, not to mention great value and always friendly useful service.
Go out to shark island, straight across the harbour and enjoy the beautiful views of the harbour bridge and opera house.

My friend and I had dinner in the restaurant on Friday night and was greeted warmly on arrival and promptly offered drinks.
We ordered a bottle of white and after the first glass was poured, we had to ask for another glass after that. It was never offered to us during the night.
We both ordered steaks with a serve...
We are coffee addicts and this is the best place for our daily fix. Fantastic staff, Andre is the best barista in town - everyone knows your name and order. Allpress coffee, Iggy’s bread, beautiful cakes, croissants and sandwiches. The perfect spot to kickstart your day.
Nice spot! Lots of interesting places to see and plenty of food options. Amazing book shop next door and close to Paddington markets. Very close to Moore Park. Hosts were lovely
Rooms small but clean and quiet. Pool was great for a cool down in the afternoon
