With a variety of outdoor attractions, the sophisticated harbour suburb of Mosman has something for everyone. Shoppers can stroll Military Road for its unique offering of antiques, designer labels, and hip restaurants and cafes. Nature lovers can take in spectacular bushwalks like the Taronga to Balmoral walk, while families can enjoy snorkeling in the sheltered beaches of Balmoral Beach or scuba diving at Chowder Bay. History lovers enjoy exploring the fortifications at the end of Old Fort Road in Middle Head, which date back to the 1800s. Even the exhibitionist set can find entertainment in Mosman, with several nude beaches located in the area.
I took the ferry to the zoo and the sky tram up to the zoo. The views of Sydney from the tram were great, as were the views from many parts of the zoo. Beware enclosures with poorly behaved school children. Favorite exhibits were birds and the platypus, chimpanzees. Lots of walking but good signs and helpful staff.
Very peaceful, very relaxing, and nearly too blue to be true. A small beach, in Rosherville reserve, and a big exercise, if you walk there from Spit Bridge. Actually to walk there isn't bad, but that was downhill to go, it is uphill to come back. There is rockpool for the kids and I'm a bit confused what to write....

The Gallery commissioned Chris Caines to do a...
"Nice park under normal circumstances but not the place for NYE fireworks"

Watching the fireworks in Sydney is not the simplest thing to plan. The fireworks are world famous and millions of people come along to watch them. People queue the whole day for the Botanic gardens to grab a small space to sit down for hours and hours of waiting.
We planned to be in Sydney for this event, but we...
We visited Gunners' barracks for a family celebration with about 60 people. Great service and delicious food was really well presented. always nice for an Englishman in Sydney to be presented with tea & scones!!
For a start the service was excellent. We had dinner so we could not appreciate the fabulous water views that you would experience if you attended the restaurant during daylight hours, however the food was amazing I sampled the dishes the rest of our group (6) had except the vegan meal (that was according to the person in our group...
The best place on Mosman to take your kids for a Birthday breakfast, or just a breakfast at any time. There is lots of choice with sweet and savoury crepes.
They are nice and thin and the best around. Service is always friendly and professional.
