This is a beautiful art deco building dating from about 1906, and was built on the former botanic gardens. In 1920, Smichov became part of Prague. The buildings were refurbished in the 1990's, and became a jazz club. Well worth a look if you are in the area. There is a small park next to it with a fountain of...
Great concert but not well attended, 2 soloists a pianist and saxophonist who was great. Spoilt a bit a sad to compete with karaoke from bar next door til the pianist sorted it out! A bit over priced for the time and lack of other musicians but enjoyable non the less.

My family and I were visiting Prague over Christmas and New Year and wanted somewhere close to the centre of town that was a bit special, but good value.
The restaurant is a short walk from the Mala Strana square, and is tucked away so that you feel you can relax away from the tourists.
We were welcomed as soon...

We visited the Lavender restaurant in December 2019 and had dinner there. The overall impression of the visit is very good. The service is on a level, prepared food as well. The location is also very good. I recommend.
Me and my partner spent a long weekend at this hotel and had a great time. The owners are a very friendly family who are keen to help and share tips on the city. But not in an intrusive way. The room was nice and comfortable, great value considering the price.
Also as Prague is quite compact everything is a...
Having been to Prague before, i wanted to find a family run hotel with good reviews and in a central but quieter location. After searching through the reviews, I stumbled upon the Hotel Julian. It was a perfect place to stay for 5 days, with friendly staff and spacious and clean rooms. Petra was very thorough and informative at check...
I stayed here for a little less than a week and the front desk staff were the first thing that stood out to me. So friendly, caring and enthusiastic. I’ve yet to meet anyone whose service came close to theirs!
The hotel itself is charmingly decorated. My room (single occupancy) was small, but clean and the bathroom was incredibly modern....
My family and I have been visiting the hotel for 4 days.
We were very surprised that the hotel rooms are even better than the pictures. The people employed by the hotel are the nicest and most helpful people we have met.
For 3 euros you are with Uber in the center. Unfortunately, our daughter was...
We stayed at this hotel 11th March til 14th March amid the Coronavirus outbreak. The reception staff were flawless and nothing was too big a problem for them. We booked via Secret Escapes and got an Executive Room which was perfect!! Spacious, clean and two sinks. We also got a complimentary bottle of wine! Lifts are accessible and the bar...
