Every weekend, thousands of tourists make their way up to this Northern Bangkok suburb to get lost in an enormous maze of shops at the Chatuchak Weekend Market. Home to almost 10,000 vendors, you’ll find everything from vintage sneakers to comic books and Thai handicrafts being sold here. You name it, Chatuchack probably sells it. The market is a great place to pick up souvenirs, but be sure to bargain for a good price. After a day of shopping and strolling around, the lush green lanes of Chatuchak Park are a welcome relief.
It is a nice park, but nothing special. But if you are planning to go to the markets, may as well take a quick stroll here. We walked through the park from Mo Chit Skytrain Station to the market and then from JJ Green night market to the Station.
This place is a must if you want to experience the real Muay Thai experience. The place is free but you will need so patience to get inside and wait before the fights starts.
My advice is to get there early and take the last raw in the top
This spacious park on the outskirts of Bangkok, is attracting more and more visitors. The newly added 3 km bicycle track weaves through lush tropical vegetation and waterways. There are a mass of bicycles to rent from 40 baht, which is well worthwhile. Most of the intersecting pathways are for walking , sitting and picnicing, in the most pleasant of...
After spending several hours in Chatuchak market went here to see how it is. Very nice, quiet, nearly empty of people. Just bring your own refreshments and find a shade. Good place to relax from neverending sound of various motor-vehicles in Bangkok.
It's close to all JJ malls and couple of MRT stops so not much walking needed to/from or...
The quality of the food here was amazing, the flavour was fantastic. The staff were taking great care of us. I wouldn't feel right if i don't recommend this restaurant to everyone who ask me for a great restaurant in Bangkok.
"Not a special restaurant - but chilled music, relaxing spot - GREAT PAELLA FOR LUNCH"
reviewed 2 weeks ago by ricky_indo
This is our lunch spot in Chatuchak market, Bangkok. There is an entertaining fat Spanish chap making superb traditional paella attached to this café – afew years ago he started off with one paella dish, and he now has 3 full sized paella dishes on the go –one cooked and being served, one on the way, and one being started....
Room was really nice, pool was nice but smaller. We had connecting rooms and I like how Centara has and outside door that connects the two rooms and creates a little front connecting foyer area. Restaurants were a little pricey for dinner, but it was nice to have the rest of the mall and 60+ restaurants in the mall which...
We are invited from friends to a marriage in this hotel and booked 3 nights.
Around the hotel they construct a railroad. Traffic-Jam day and night. The toilette in first room had a extremely smell like next to a biologic gas farm. The second room was very dirty. The walls didn't see any color for many years. Under the bed...
Staff are friendly...but language barrier....tv did not have English channels called about 10 times...engineering came to check on it, left said he will return with someone else....upto check out no body turned up.
Food reasonable tasty and money's worth.
Nice property.....but at least English should be spoken.. .anyway had a pleasant stay, minus the tv
"Good hotel for those visiting Kasetsart University"
reviewed 26 April 2017 by Andrew G
Maruay Garden Hotel is not luxurious, but is very convenient to Kasetsart University and the Department of Agriculture laboratories. The rooms are large and clean, and the beds rock hard, as is pretty normal in Thailand for this class of hotel. The staff are friendly but no one I met could speak English at even a moderate level, so communication...
The promotion for this hotel is a big fake!
The restaurant was closed, no chance to eat something and no chance to drink anything else than the drinking water from the fridge. The restaurant closest to the hotel is two busstations away. The breakfast was minimum, nothing fresh, not even served friendly.
The swimmingpool is so dirty, you would not...
