This was a great experience and because you can ride it over and over you can arrange for it to provide a sunset experience traveling between the farthest points. Well worth the added cost to include Faber park.
Really enjoyed visiting here. They have a good story to tell, lots of interesting objects and more. The staff are extremely well organized. No problem doing the online booking but you must plan ahead as entry is by reservation only. There is a lift to help if stairs are an issue. Well done NUS for making this come to life...
Henderson bridge lights up from 7pm to 7am.
Photos shown here taken at 6:30am.
The park is linked to several ridges. Collectively they are known as Singapore southern ridge.
A two to three hours morning hike is the most comfortable.
Good sneakers is a must.
We came here on a Friday around 4pm while it was still quiet.
We're lucky to have encountered with some local residents - a squirrel resting on a branch, fire ants on branches of the mangroves trees, and we thought we saw a bird resembles of that kingfisher because of its prominent beautiful marine acqua-blue feathers.
There is a great view of the singapore skyline at the top of mt faber called faber peak. It is easy to access and also it is a great way to work out by climbing the stairs. overall i would recommend it to family and friends and it is not too strenuous as well.
"First class genuine Greek fare in a lovely setting "
reviewed yesterday by FranTan2000
First thing you will notice is the striking fit out and presentation of the restaurant. Lovely decore and furniture set the scene.
The Greek food itself is superb and genuine with many options on the menu. We had top shelf octopus and sides.
Staff were welcoming with the service being prompt, polite and attentive. The wine list was varied, catering...
Have not been back to their tiong bahru outlet for a while but quality of food and service is still good. Had their Angus beef and seared tuna, both were delicious. Everything was nicely cooked and well balanced. Service was also friendly and professional. Not cheap but good value. Another pleasant experience.
Head out of central Singapore and into the 'burbs and you'll find the Tiong Bahru district, or more specifically the Tiong Bahru Hawker/Food Centre. The question is not what to have, as there is all sorts of Asian 'goodies' to be had here, it is how much and knowing when to say 'enough'. Food stalls galore here, all clean, as...
Loved my time at Tapas Club at Vivo. Another occasion where the Pulpo was cooked to an excellent standard! The garlic prawns were also a delight! I found the service to be very good. Certainly better than other bars / restaurants in the area. The wine selection is also a must! Many fine wines which are imported from Spain and...
The same restaurant has also branched out to burgers as well using Zi Char dishes incorporated into burger. Bought the salted egg York pork burger and it is super delicious! It comes with fries and a drink as well. Must try when you are here.
Great building and really special location in the jungle of Labrador Park. Still only a few minutes walk from the MRT and bus station. Breakfast at Tamarind Hill just a few steps behind/above the Villa is wonderful. Room was also great, some issues with Internet and have to say staff wasn't always super polite (depending on who was working), but...
I have stayed at the Nostalgia Hotel for over 10 years. It has a great location, close to restaurants, shopping & easy access to both public transport & taxis. The service has always been good, staff friendly & helpful, the rooms & bathrooms are small but sufficient for a single traveler. It is well priced & good value for money
1) the bed was not so comfy as the end of the bed is round shape.
2) the plug socket at the beside the bed is not user friendly, should put at the wall mounted, same as the tv area
Overall is a nice and good ambience to stay,
Nice hotel ideal for a short stay to break up a journey. Nice clean rooms, comfortable bed, good shower and quiet! A bit out of the centre but a taxi is inexpensive. Breakfast was nice with lots of choice, decaf coffee made when requested and was lovely. The pool area has comfortable sun beds and towels and was so quiet...
